I booked it for the view and was not dissapointed, absolutely amazing view of the city! But the highlight is the staff, extremely friendly, helpful and made you feel at home! And Gau is a hilarious, all around good guy. I also met some really friendly people from all over the world, all in all one of the best hostels I've been to in general, and it's smack in the middle of chongqing!

Thick bedding and towels. Decent size private bathroom. Staff were super friendly and the location is really good. There are a lot of eateries nearby and tourist sights are within walking distance.

Riverside International Youth Hostel阅江老院青年旅舍 has a garden, shared lounge, a terrace and restaurant in Chongqing. Wow!!! This place is really in the center of chongqing city and so easy to find, if you have wechat account (hostel sennt me detailed way to get to the hostel from the subway station and i found it easily) The room was so clean and comfortable and I could enjoy view from the kitchen windows, while I was having breakfast. Staffs were so kind and friendly, too. To me, it was really perfect for chongqing travel!!!! If any visiting chongqing again, I will definitely come back here again!

Featuring a garden, a terrace as well as a bar, Chongqing Houlai Rooftop Terrace Youth Hostel候来屋顶露台青年旅舍 is located in the centre of Chongqing, 1.8 km from Chaotianmen Square. The person managing it was the nicest, stated up really late to check me in. I stayed one night in a tent and I think it’s the coolest thing ever. The bathroom isn’t really nice but like the stay is really worth it. Really cool experience
