I got stuck here because of a strike but the owner was kind enough to let me stay longer and help me with planning the logistics if travel during the strike.

Located in Villa de Leyva’s town centre, Posada Portal de la Villa offers a 24-hour front desk, free parking and a tour desk. Free Wi-Fi access is also available. Just the entrance is beautiful. You come in a garden with trees, gardening tools from back in the day and tables where people eat their breakfast. It’s very clean, staff is really kind and the, I believe, the owner, an older man is super sweet, and it’s super close to the Plaza Major.
