The owner was super friendly and made us a good breakfast served on the roof. The entrance is not maintained but once you're inside everything is clean and colorful.

The room is just as in the photo, simple, clean and comfortable with a lovely painted brick ceiling (the bathroom shower is not enclosed, not a problem for us, just be aware). Omar took care of everything during our 2 night stay, including taking us in his private boat to Elephantine Island, preparing 2 delicious dinners for us which we ate on his rooftop deck, arranging a driver for Abu Simbel and Philae Temple, and arranging our taxi back to the airport. We did take the public ferry once and it was cheap (15 Egyptian pounds per person) and easy to do.

The location is also excellent, as it is very close to both the train station and the bus terminal. The owner always listens to guests’ feedback and continuously works hard to make the hostel even better. If I have the opportunity to visit this area again, I would definitely stay here again. Thank you very much for the lovely stay.

A bit of a walk to get to the boat crossings and restaurants, but that’s fine for young chaps. Great community spirits.

All the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, big shoutout to Jimmy and Hassan for making my stay amazing by going with me to the market, showing me around, helping me with tours, and even getting me a last-minute bus ticket. They were easy to chat and hang out with. I had a great stay I’ll always remember. Thanks guys!
