Set in Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port and with Baigorry Church reachable within 11 km, Gite de la Porte Saint Jacques: a hostel for pilgrims offers a garden, non-smoking rooms, free WiFi and a terrace. I absolutely recommend this place to anyone starting the Camino frances and if I’d walk it again, I will come back here. Thank you so much for a perfect start on my Camino journey.

Bloom Hostel Bar & Garden features a garden, shared lounge, a terrace and bar in Bordeaux. I arrived at night and the location is easy to find. The beds are comfortable and bigger than expected for being a bunk. The staff was great!! Sadly I didn't have breakfast there cause I asked them for a recommendation of a typical Bordeaux place, which they did and it was delicious!!!!!

Solfé Backpacker features free bikes, shared lounge, a terrace and bar in Luz-Saint-Sauveur. Featuring free shuttle service, this property also provides guests with a children's playground. Really nice owner, offered us a lift to town when he was going, and advised us of the shuttle from the Tourist Information centre which was very helpful. Very modern hostel, gorgeous rooms, view and terrace, as well as a well equipped kitchen and communal room.

Surfhostel Hossegor in Soorts-Hossegor provides adults-only accommodation with a garden, a shared lounge and barbecue facilities. This place is not a Hostel… it’s a home! They staff, the owner and the guests make it feel so warm and comfortable. You meet everyone and become life long friends with everyone. Couldn’t recommend this place any higher! Plus it’s literally a 2 minute walk to the beach, perfect for surf checks!

Spotsleeping is a hostel situated in Anglet, 500 metres from the beach, and has water sports facilities, a garden and a kitchen. Free WiFi is available. The location, the price, and the facilities daily well maintained by Sandrine and Bruno. Also, the owners are very friendly and giving good tips about the area. I recommend with no doubt.

Situated in Capbreton, 21 km from Biarritz, BodyGo Surfhouse boasts a barbecue and water sports facilities. Some units include a seating area for your convenience. The location is absolutely great for surfing. The breakfast is top. I was very surprised by all the boards available, as well as sauna + spa

An early 20th-century villa located in the centre of Lacanau, Surf House is a hostel set just 300 metres from the beach. A supermarket nearby is very convenient. Great design for a surfing trip. Meet many people. The neighbourhood's cat is very cute.

L'escale Surf Hostel - Auberge de jeunesse in Guéthary provides adults-only accommodation with a shared lounge and a terrace. It is very close to the beach to go surfing! Comfortable beds and nice staff

Situated in Vicdessos, 40 km from Col de la Crouzette, Eau Berges - Chez Mamie features views of the mountain. The owners of this establishment are truly outstanding and go to great lengths to make their guests welcome and comfortable. The catering is absolutely fabulous, freshly made and delicious and there’s plenty to go around. The owners even sit with you at dinner and engage in great conversation.

L'étape du Canal - Pèlerins, Randonneurs, Vacanciers in Condom provides adults-only accommodation with a seasonal outdoor swimming pool, a garden and a shared lounge. The most comfortable gite, run by the kindest, loveliest couple. Michelle and Sandrine have gone to so much effort to make pilgrims feel at home in their home, so many special extra touches. You can tell they do it because they genuinely care, not just for a business. Bedroom and bathroom were a high standard and the meal was delicious. I can’t recommend this gite enough and I would love to go back one day.
