Basecamp Wales offers family-run hostel accommodation in Llanllyfni, on the edge of the Snowdonia National Park and 30.3 km from Pen-Y-Pass and 8.2 km to the beach at Dinas Dinlle. Great stay, comfortable beds, sheets and towels provided. Very clean and solid build quality. Basically all of the positive reviews here are true.

Base Camp Snowdonia, Gwersyll Cyntaf Eryri ligger i Betws-y-Coed i Clwyd og har en fellesstue. Her bor du 19 kilometer fra Snowdon og 25 kilometer fra Snowdon Mountain Railway. This is a very nice hostel. Very cosy and very comfy 24/7 facilities. It is possible to self check in at any hour, and there is basic food to purchase in the kitchen too at any hour - quite handy (tea, coffee, beer, oatmeal, instant noodle etc). The common area is very neat and nice - i spent quite a lot of time there, chilling after a hike, cooking and eating food and even working on my laptop. I stayed in a female only dorm, that has 6 comfy beds, and there were 2 toilets and 2 showers just for our room, so i never had to wait to have a shower etc. There are hair dryers available, and a whole separate drying room both for laundry and wet clothes after a hike. Beds were perfect, pillows were perfect, not creaky as in some dorms. With very good quality bedsheets and towels. Overall, if i am in betws y coed again, i will certainly stay in Gwersyll Cyntaf Eryri.

James John Hamilton House and backpacker hostel tilbyr overnatting i Fishguard, 45 kilometer fra Folly Farm og 22 kilometer fra Roch Castle, og har grillutstyr. Such a lovely place to stay and Steve was such a gent. Had everything we needed and was very clean and tidy. The building is gorgeous. Steve really cares about his guests and myself, husband and pup got a lovely warm welcome.

I Betws-y-Coed, 20 kilometer fra Snowdon, ligger Woodlands Centre, som har en hage, gratis privat parkering, en fellesstue og en terrasse. I booked my stay very last minute after a change of plan. The bunkhouse was clean, tidy and warm when I arrived and I had good communication from the wardens. I love this bunkhouse for its location and amazing drying room to hang all my adventure kit!

I Betws-y-Coed, 11 kilometer fra Snowdon, ligger The Rocks at Plas Curig Hostel, som har en fellesstue, gratis privat parkering og en terrasse. So welcoming, staffed by gorgeous people x Everything you need, rooms are sweet , plenty of sockets and gorgeous view , surplus of toilets and showers, all warm and hot water xx

I Llanberis, bare 7 kilometer fra Snowdon Mountain Railway og 13 kilometer fra Snowdon ligger Lodge Dinorwig Hostel. Amathing place and people! Brilliant service, tasty food, very clean and cozy. Definitely was the best experience of hostels ever! Thank you Sonni and Simon for making such wonderful mood of that place! Hope will come back one day)

Bare 40 kilometer fra Chester veddeløpsbane ligger Llangollen Hostel - Book the Room - Self Catering facilities, som tilbyr 4-stjerners overnatting i Llangollen. Much better than we expected. Very clean and nice place where to stay.

YHA St Briavels Castle ligger i Saint Briavels, bare 35 kilometer fra Bristol Parkway stasjon. Overnattingsstedet tilbyr forskjellige fasiliteter, blant annet en hage, en fellesstue og en bar. It was a lovely place and the staff were amazing

Llety Glyndwr - Bunkhouse ligger i Trawsfynydd, 18 kilometer fra Portmeirion, og tilbyr rom med gratis WiFi og utsikt over fjellet. Everything was well organized, and we really enjoyed our stay during the Christmas holidays. Would definitely recommend!

The Butchers Arms - Grill Pub and Accommodation ligger i Merthyr Tydfil, med Cardiff University bare 43 kilometer unna. We arrived at 10 pm on a Friday night, greeted by an amazing Manageress who was so helpful considering they had a busy pub with a 50th celebration going on. We stayed here initially for the proximity to the car park to do Pen Y fan horseshoe, we couldn't have picked better. After a few drinks we met the landlord, Andrew, a fantastic, interesting, local knowledged man. Being a former mountain rescue man he advised us on many things regarding our climb, early start to see the sunrise, which direction to do the horseshoe, amongst other useful tips .He arranged water and snacks for our follow day even though its was by this time midnight. Following evening meal was so reasonably priced for the quality and size of the meal. Drinks were very well priced. All staff were amazing. Room was spotlessly clean, Views were unreal. Overlooking the mountain having Sunday morning full breakfast in the warm sun was an absolute winner. Highly recommend this place. Well Done Andrew and team
