Basecamp Wales offers family-run hostel accommodation in Llanllyfni, on the edge of the Snowdonia National Park and 30.3 km from Pen-Y-Pass and 8.2 km to the beach at Dinas Dinlle. Great stay, comfortable beds, sheets and towels provided. Very clean and solid build quality. Basically all of the positive reviews here are true.

Such a lovely place to stay and Steve was such a gent. Had everything we needed and was very clean and tidy. The building is gorgeous. Steve really cares about his guests and myself, husband and pup got a lovely warm welcome.

The bunkhouse was clean, tidy and warm when I arrived and I had good communication from the wardens. I love this bunkhouse for its location and amazing drying room to hang all my adventure kit!

I Llanberis, bare 7 kilometer fra Snowdon Mountain Railway og 13 kilometer fra Snowdon ligger Lodge Dinorwig Hostel. Stay for UTS from Japan. Community in this lodge had a perfect atomosphere and gave me a great confidece to complete the race. I'll be back here.

Bare 40 kilometer fra Chester veddeløpsbane ligger Llangollen Hostel - Book the Room - Self Catering facilities, som tilbyr 4-stjerners overnatting i Llangollen. This hostel had everything fully equipped kitchen. Guitar piano board games. Drying room for clothes amazing helpful staff. Definitely would recommend.

The Butchers Arms - Grill Pub and Accommodation ligger i Merthyr Tydfil, med Cardiff University bare 43 kilometer unna. We arrived at 10 pm on a Friday night, greeted by an amazing Manageress who was so helpful considering they had a busy pub with a 50th celebration going on. We stayed here initially for the proximity to the car park to do Pen Y fan horseshoe, we couldn't have picked better. After a few drinks we met the landlord, Andrew, a fantastic, interesting, local knowledged man. Being a former mountain rescue man he advised us on many things regarding our climb, early start to see the sunrise, which direction to do the horseshoe, amongst other useful tips .He arranged water and snacks for our follow day even though its was by this time midnight. Following evening meal was so reasonably priced for the quality and size of the meal. Drinks were very well priced. All staff were amazing. Room was spotlessly clean, Views were unreal. Overlooking the mountain having Sunday morning full breakfast in the warm sun was an absolute winner. Highly recommend this place. Well Done Andrew and team
