Basecamp Wales offers family-run hostel accommodation in Llanllyfni, on the edge of the Snowdonia National Park and 30.3 km from Pen-Y-Pass and 8.2 km to the beach at Dinas Dinlle. Nice place, clean room. Big and well equipped shared kitchen. The staff is very friendly. There are also some lamas and the kids were happy to feed them.

I Betws-y-Coed, 11 kilometer fra Snowdon, ligger The Rocks at Plas Curig Hostel, som har en fellesstue, gratis privat parkering og en terrasse. We loved our stay at The Rocks! A beautiful hostel in a very strategic point for walks and hikes. Staff is super kind and welcoming, the room and common areas are extremely clean, there is a nice kitchen with all amenities. Room small but cosy, with nice views. Would stay again!

I Llanberis, bare 7 kilometer fra Snowdon Mountain Railway og 13 kilometer fra Snowdon ligger Lodge Dinorwig Hostel. Sonni and Simon are the most amazing, gracious hosts. They answered every question we had about nearby hikes and the home cooked breakfast every morning was so delicious!! Coming home after a hike to a delicious home cooked meal was the best feeling. One night when the weather was nice Simon even went out of his way to bring our dinner down to where we were sitting watching the sunset so we could enjoy an outdoor feast 😄 The hostel has such a homely feeling where you get to know everyone. I would recommend it to every person wanting to explore Snowdonia!

Bare 40 kilometer fra Chester veddeløpsbane ligger Llangollen Hostel - Book the Room - Self Catering facilities, som tilbyr 4-stjerners overnatting i Llangollen. Such a lovely place, excellent facilities, everything really well organised, spotlessly clean and a lovely cosy feel to it. Great staff, excellent communication. Amazing value for money. A real gem of a place!

The Butchers Arms - Grill Pub and Accommodation ligger i Merthyr Tydfil, med Cardiff University bare 43 kilometer unna. We arrived at 10 pm on a Friday night, greeted by an amazing Manageress who was so helpful considering they had a busy pub with a 50th celebration going on. We stayed here initially for the proximity to the car park to do Pen Y fan horseshoe, we couldn't have picked better. After a few drinks we met the landlord, Andrew, a fantastic, interesting, local knowledged man. Being a former mountain rescue man he advised us on many things regarding our climb, early start to see the sunrise, which direction to do the horseshoe, amongst other useful tips .He arranged water and snacks for our follow day even though its was by this time midnight. Following evening meal was so reasonably priced for the quality and size of the meal. Drinks were very well priced. All staff were amazing. Room was spotlessly clean, Views were unreal. Overlooking the mountain having Sunday morning full breakfast in the warm sun was an absolute winner. Highly recommend this place. Well Done Andrew and team
