I had an amazing in Chirris Hostel in San Juan. The hostel is super small and cosy, the common kitchen and space are so cute, it feels like home. I stayed both in the private room and then the dorm is also perfect, , only 3 beds and spacy, so this is the perfect option if you want to save some money. Everything is super clean and convenient. Andrea and Marta are adorable people, they help you out with anything and are so kind. I 100% recommend staying here for your trip to lake Atitlan!

Further from the city so very quiet area, that’s what I wanted. Everything was clean and brand new. Spacious dorm room with bathroom. In the kitchen there is everything you need plus filtered water to drink. Stuff is really helpful and nice. Close to the beach and restaurants or coffee around as well. Only 30 minutes walk to city centre. Good common areas if you want to sit and work or just hang out with other guests. They offer yoga mats to borrow as well. I met really nice people there, other guests so we went for breakfast and ordered pizza for dinner.

The most I liked was the kindness of the family, specially Loida and her mom, they are very sweet and helpful. Is a quiet place but a bit noisy because is close to the principal street but with some ear plugs it is fine. I would love to be back at that place if I come again to Atitlan.

The hostel was welcoming, fun and safe for a female solo traveller. The food was great value and tasty. The bar and drinks were well priced. Lots of options to hangout on day beds or by the pool. I’ve truly never gotten so close with people as quickly as I did here, they really go out of the way to make you feel like family. This hostel was the highlight of my trip.

It was a short stay, so we didn't use the kitchen but it is well-equipped! There is also filtered water, an electric kettle, and a coffee machine. The location is also in the center, and there is a local market right at the corner so it's easy to get some fresh fruits/veggies and snacks there too.
