The owner and all of the staff are incredible and super fun people to hang with. You go to this place as a stranger but even after a couple days you become like family. I wish I could have stayed longer. 30 min drive to Saroke but no problem because it was easy to rent scooters from salty dog. Best place ever!!

Thin blanket, towels and drinking water were given upon checking in. Instructions were clearly given. There is a separate locker for shoes located outside the capsule room and a bigger locker for luggages in the capsule room. Anyone with huge backpack or luggage will really have difficulty fitting into the luggage locker. There is no elevator and female room is on the second level and male is on the third. Capsule is of decent size and comfortable. There is a key card to access the pod and also to turn on the lights just like a hotel room. Adequate lightings in the pod and comes with 2 USB slow charging port. No power point in the pod. Power point is located in the common area. Air con is strong. No complains regarding wifi connection. There is even a TV if ever it is working. Overall, very quiet and peaceful. Shared bathroom has 2 shower stalls and 2 toilets. Probable will be insufficient should the property be full house.

I have to say, from the outside, it's not the best by look but honestly the warm energy you receive from the owner makes you turn a blind eye on everything around and also it's actually a meeting point for soo many backpackers either arriving in Melan or just leaving!

The owner is so kind and helpful! He helped me with recieving a package in Indonesia what was so important for me. He gives some good tips for the city and for first steps in Indonesia. The place has nice common space so it's easy to socialise with other travellers and go out with them for food, sightseeing etc.

Pondok Wisata Istana XI ligger i Medan, bare 5 minutters gange fra Masjid Raya Al-Mashun-moskeen og 3,3 kilometer fra Medan jernbanestasjon. First very disapointed because the booked superior room was very dirty and had a very bad smell inside. Bought an upgrade to VIP room, it was much better and my stay was fine. Bed was big and comfy, facilities to make tea/coffee in room. A/C worked fine. Alfa Mart near to hotel.
