A small oasis in the middle of a bustling city, where you feel completely comfortable. We felt very cozy, the view from the balcony was beautiful, and the breakfast was wonderful and delicious. The location is excellent, conveniently located for getting to attractions and the train station by taxi or on foot. Communication with the manager was excellent! I also want to mention the local residents who live nearby – they are the most wonderful and sincere people. Their kindness radiates, putting you in a great mood all day long.

A lovely, comfortable, and quiet hostel close to busy and interesting parts of Yogyakarta. I appreciated the coffee, water dispenser, washing machine, comfortable places to sit. The rooftop was really nice — you can see a nearby volcano when it’s clear!

Immediately after I arrived I felt like I’m at home. I had one of the little huts which was so cute and cosy. The bed and the pillows are super comfortable and it’s quiet so perfect for a good night sleep after a long day. The shower is hot and good pressure. Also it’s very clean everywhere around the hostel. The location is great as it’s closed to many restaurants, atm, shops. Ranasa is perfect to chill and socialise whatever you feel like as they have separate spaces for both. The stuff is just incredible. So friendly, kind and they will help you with whatever you need help with. Just simply a great atmosphere and great place to stay in Yogyakarta. I wish they had more hostels like this around Indonesia.

Can't get enough to see this lovely small place, beautiful surroundings by the greeneries and local life. Plants decorations are best. You'll feel like in your own home. Tiny gazebo was great idea to chill and relax after your full day trip. Hammock at the front was the cutest. You'll not find this anywhere else. The staff were great by explaining anything at this hostel. Coffee amenities are free, great idea for those who love to have a coffee in the morning time. Was great service in a budget hostel. Cool place!

Nastanitev KOTTA Hostel je v mestu Timuran, 1,9 km od znamenitosti Sultanova palača, in nudi brezplačen WiFi ter brezplačno zasebno parkirišče. Kotta Hostel is such a gem in Yogyakarta. The rooms and common areas are always spotless and comfortable. What makes this place special is the amazing staff , they’re so kind and welcoming, it feels like staying with friends. I definitely recommend this hostel if you want a clean, nice place with friendly people. Highly recommended!

I’ve been staying at Abrakadabra for a week and am planning to stay more. As a female solo traveler, I’ve felt like it’s my own place, having privacy and security. The host is very kind and speaks good English. He served good breakfast at the requested time and helped me book affordable tours in Jogja. The place is cozy, clean, and very close to the city center with lots of good restaurants and places to visit around. There’s a beautiful rooftop surrounded by plants which is great for having a coffee and chilling out. I could also use the kitchen to cook for myself. If you’re lucky, you’ll encounter other guests to hang out with :)

AMAZING 10/10 must stay here. Very high standards at this place for a hostel. The whole place was spotless clean. The dorms were beautiful and private. Nice kitchen area to use which was wonderful.
