Located in Glengarriff and with Hungry Hill reachable within 26 km, Glengarriff Hostel provides a shared lounge, non-smoking rooms, free WiFi and a terrace. Everything! One of the best hostels ever...Dee, the manager is exceptional. Clean, kitchen was incredibly well equipped & spacious. Also a very nice common room. Glengarrif is small, friendly & close to Garnish island and amazing hiking. It's a great base for exploring Bear peninsula and Bantry. Great music in the pubs.

So far the interior was the coziest I've seen at a hostel, with wooden surfaces, wall apintings and memorabilia around. A living room with a fireplace, two dachshunds peering at the guests from where they've decided to rest, a big backyard with more spots for hanging around - and chicken. The dorm beds were comfy and had curtains for extra privacy. The breakfast included home-made bread. The staff was nice and friendly and had suggestions for getting around. The reception was open from 7am to 9pm.

The location is beautiful and the room was very comfortable. Unfortunately we couldn’t stay so long due to our plans but we would definitely recommend the place.
