The food was good, and the limited options actually made it simpler and more pleasant. The location is in very scenic spot and the best spot to enjoy the hostel is from the backyard

I came to Kollam for a friend's wedding and planned my stay at Munroe Islands after hearing good things about the place. A short, breezy walk from Munroe Island station to the hostel sealed the deal for me. I knew I had to stay longer, and I'm so glad I did. I connected with backpackers from India and all over the world, swapping stories about our cultures, foods, music, and life paths. Everything about the hostel felt just right. Shoutout to Prem and Neeraj for seamless check-ins, thoughtful guidance, and ensuring we had zero hassles. And Bindhu chechi's delicious home-cooked meals, served with her infectious smile, were the cherry on top. I picked up kayaking basics and glided through stunning sunrise and sunset trips on the backwaters. Refreshing cycle rides around the island rounded out the adventure. Checking out hit hard. I craved that slow, relaxed vibe. It didn't feel like a vacation; it felt like a loving home wrapping me in a warm hug. I'll definitely plan a 1 or 2-week stay the next time I'm here (hopefully soon).
