Their welcoming demeanor made a huge difference. Furthermore, any maintenance or follow-up needed was handled superbly and very quickly. The care and attention to detail from the host were outstanding. ​Excellent Facilities: The hostel was fully equipped; every necessary item was available in the house. Specifically, the individual locker space, private reading light, and the dining table were all excellent additions that made the stay very comfortable. ​This is, without a doubt, the best place I have ever rented at this price point. Located in the centre of Catania, Ostello degli Elefanti is set in a historic building. Guests can relax on the sun terrace. This hostel is one of the best I’ve ever stayed in. Everything was absolutely amazing — from the ceiling frescoes to the breakfast with fresh fruit and the free evening pasta. And of course, the view from the small balcony straight onto Catania’s main square is simply incredible. The people are wonderful, the conditions are very comfortable, and there is access to a rooftop terrace as well. This place is truly special. I highly recommend it. Ten out of ten.
