We really enjoyed having the entire floor to ourselves, which included three bedrooms and a dining area. This layout was perfect for our group's needs. The location was ideal, being close to Farm Tomita, a key stop on our Hokkaido summer trip. A delightful and unexpected bonus was discovering the illuminations at Hinode Park nearby, which turned out to be the highlight of our stay

Hostel Tomar is set in Furano, the hostel is 300 metres from Furano Station is 300 metres. Guests at the hostel will be able to enjoy activities in and around Furano, like skiing. I stayed over New Year's. The hostel had different events taking place: making soba and mochi, visiting the local shrine and doing calligraphy. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, both in these activities and in general. The hostel has a nice open design and it was easy to meet new people. Very affordable.

I usually don’t write reviews but I can’t not for this hostel. Firstly, the host was the kindest and most helpful person. From the moment I entered the hostel I felt welcomed. My lock code had somehow changed in transit and I couldn’t get into my bag, not only did Yi saw off my old lock but he also found a new lock that had been left and gifted this to me. He also dropped me at the bus station even though it was a 5 minute walk on my departure because it would have been hard to drag my bag in heavy snow. Also, he offers discounted lift tickets, which he delivered daily. The hostel itself was the cleanest I’ve ever stayed in - it’s very new and the staircases give Squid Game vibes (in a cool way). Although I only had one pillow, it was fluffy and the bed was comfortable with a towel rail and little desk in the pod. The hostel was full but everyone was respectful due to the clear guidance given. The location is less than a 5 minute walk from door to gondola, close to some nice places to eat and an 8 minute walk to Lawsons. Thanks so much, I will be back!
