Only a 2-minute walk from JR Takayama Station, K's House Takayama Oasis offers free WiFi throughout the property. Personalet var super flinke. Der er top rent og fine faciliteter. Der er køkken med alt man kan have brug for (inkl. salt, sukker, olie til stegning og lign.) Der er en hyggelig lounge, med sofaer og flere borde til at spise ved. Der er spil, bøger på mange sprog, origami instrukser+papir, masser af info/inspiration til området. Og bare så fint og rent over det hele. Skønt sted at bo, også for en lidt længere periode forestiller jeg mig.

Backpackers Jinya ligger i centrum af Takayama, 9 minutters gang fra Takayama Station og 2,6 km fra Hida Folk Village. Overnatningsstedet ligger ca. Don’t usually write reviews but they were very helpful during my stay. I left my clothes at previous hotel and they helped me with packages. Very efficient.

Backpackers Hida Takayama har en god beliggenhed i Hida Takayama Onsen-distriktet i Takayama. Everything was well organized, clean and all guests respected the rules so it was super quiet at night. We enjoyed remote check in, it was quite cool actually! Laundry and dryer were for free, which is awesome! Location is convenient, close to old town, morning market and bus stop

Hostel Miyagawa by Murasaki ligger i centrum af Takayama og har et fælles opholdsområde. Beautiful and cozy hostel with an amazing view of the morning market.

GuestHouse Shirakawa-Go INN ligger i Shirakawa, 46 km fra Hida Folk Village og 47 km fra Takayama Station. Her er et fælles opholdsområde og gratis privat parkering samt gratis wi-fi overalt. Clean and modern facility. Owner was clear and friendly. It is a Guest Inn, aka a Hostel, so expect accordingly. I feel it is a bit unfair that other reviews complain about gaps to a Hotel service, it is not a Hotel. Rooms are private but bathrooms and kitchen are shared. Showers were great and super clean. The kitchen area was well equipped and there were a few items for sale like instant noodles, chips and water. As it is not located in Shirakawa-go (where you go sightseeing as a tourist) the Inn offers a shuttle to Shirakawa-Go bus stop. This was really good! Without big luggage you could also walk there in 25 minutes.

Sakura Guest House ligger i Takayama, mindre end 1 km fra Hida Folk Village, og har en have, et fælles opholdsområde og en terrasse samt gratis privat parkering. The staff are so kind. They make you feel welcomed like family right away. Also a very social environment — the best type of social wherein everybody just gathers together at the end of the day to share stories. The space is beautiful and designed to feel like a traditional Japanese home. It was especially great to be there in the winter, because everything felt very cozy. It was also the perfect home base to see the Snow Monkeys, because it was a situated right on the super cute train line that takes you to/from Nagano and the monkeys.

Natural Onsen Hostel Hidamari no Yu har en god beliggenhed i Hida Takayama Onsen-distriktet i Takayama. Great and Affordable. The staffs were very helpful.

Tomato Takayama Station har udsigt til byen og ligger i Takayama, 2,1 km fra Hida Folk Village. Dette vandrehjem med 2 stjerner har et fælles køkken, et fælles opholdsområde og gratis wi-fi. We were accomodated in different place than was advertised, so I cannot review anything. Price was high, but it could be because of the autumn festival that was happening that day.
