The place is super clean and thoughtfully organized—clearly run by people who care about detail. As a digital nomad, I especially appreciated the cozy and peaceful common area, which made working remotely feel like home. What stood out most was the outstanding hospitality. The staff were kind, informative, and spoke excellent English. I arrived around midnight, and check-in was a breeze thanks to their 24-hour access system and thoughtful instructions with my key ready. While the hotel is around 15 minutes on foot from Kamishiro Station, the staff kindly gave me a ride in their shuttle. A special shoutout to Toshi, who generously lent me his crampons for my mountain hike — a total lifesaver! This is a superb and affordable base in rural Japan — perfect for backpackers, solo travelers, and anyone looking for a welcoming mountain stay. Highly recommended!

Everyone was very friend and the staff spoke multiple languages allowing for a comfortable stay for many different nationalities. After traveling Japan solo for a while, stumbling into a hostel where I could casually speak English with people was a much welcomed surprise.

The location is very convenient, just a few minutes walk to Tsugaike Gondola station. Every morning there is a shuttle at 7:45 to Norikura/Cortina(need to sign in before 22:00), and also to the resorts in Hakuba Village at a later time. Best lodge for powder chasing.

Kai and other staff members very knowledgeable about nearby resorts and train and bus schedules. Highly recommend to stay here
