Roku Hostel Hiroshima has a garden, shared lounge, a terrace and bar in Hiroshima. This hostel is as great as everyone says it is! I was staying in the female dorm which just had 3 beds and it was really comfortable and had enough space for storage. I especially loved the bar where you get a welcome drink every night and naturally get to talk to the other guests. The hostel feels like a home and is loved by neighbors as well who come by to the bar to chat with the guests. The staff is also really friendly and give you recommendations. I really really recommend this hostel to solo travelers who want to meet people and look for a cozy place!

Well set in the Hiroshima City Centre district of Hiroshima, Guesthouse Akicafe Inn is located 400 metres from Hiroshima Station, 1.2 km from Chosho-in Temple and 1.4 km from Hiroshima Danbara... This place was awesome, one of the best guesthouses I’ve been to in Japan and really fairly priced. It’s was cleaned daily, I loved that the women’s had their own floor and little common area. This hostel is located right next to the river, it has beautiful areas to walk around, lots of small cafes and restaurants nearby and has close access to street cars and bus stops. Hiroshima in general is an amazing city that feels very walkable. The kitchen and bathrooms are very modern and clean, the showers especially were incredible! I was lucky to have a bottom bunk where I could use a curtain for privacy at night, but unfortunately the top bunks did not have any.

Conveniently located in the Hiroshima City Centre district of Hiroshima, 広島ゲストハウス Nice Day is set 1.1 km from Atomic Bomb Dome, 1.2 km from Myoei-ji Temple and 1.6 km from Hiroshima City Minami Ward... What a great location! It was easy to get to from Hiroshima station using the tram. The area is also full of great places to eat, drink, and shop, and it's right by the Peace Memorial Park. Plus, there's a night bus terminal only a 10-minute walk away that connects to Japan's main cities. The staff was fantastic, especially Nana-san, who went above and beyond to help me out with a transportation issue.

Conveniently set in the Ikuchi Island district of Setoda, Cycle Guest House SHIOKAZE is set 25 km from Saikon-ji Temple, 28 km from Saikokuji Temple and 29 km from Senkoji Temple. The Gust Goiuse is brand new with great amenities. It is very clean and located in a quiet area.

Located 400 metres from Aeon Hiro Shopping Mall, おとまち 甘藍 Otomachi Kanran offers 1-star accommodation in Kure and features a garden, a shared lounge and a bar. The guesthouse is a cozy traditional house that makes the stay feel great. The host is an amazing person you can chat with about many interesting things! She takes amazing care of everything. We were cycling through the islands and the guesthouse has an indoor garage to leave your bikes.

Situated conveniently in the Ikuchi Island district of Onomichi, 島宿Nest is set 25 km from Oogamiyama Omoto Shrine, 28 km from Saikon-ji Temple and 31 km from Saikokuji Temple. Perfect spot to stop along the Shimanami Kaido. Super friendly staff, small hotel with comfy rooms right on the water. Could walk to a temple and pagoda in the morning. Communal bathrooms were very clean.

Located in the centre of Hiroshima, RED HELMET House & Sports Bar Hiroshima is situated less than 1 km from Myoei-ji Temple and a 11-minute walk from Hiroshima Station. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Everything was clearly explained when we checked-in, everything was clean and the location was great. It is close to Hiroshima Main Station, as well as many restaurants. Check out was also incredibly easy. My friend and I had a fantastic stay here, and we are likely to return in the future to see more of Hiroshima.
