Theres only two rooms on the property so I basically had the whole house to myself before the other guests checked in. The bar downstairs wasn’t open but they had a honor-system mini bar. The toilet is shared with both rooms but there is a private shower in the room. Loved having netflix in the room, felt like home! And conveniently located by the train for those like me who dont want to walk too far with your luggage

Blue Hour Kanazawa is conveniently located just a 3-minute's walk away from Kanazawa Station. The guesthouse is new with nice view looking out to the train station and main road with good sound proofing. They provide free tea and coffee. So I packed my food from convenient store and enjoyed my dinner on the bar table. Dorm bed is spacious and guests can lock their stuff in the wooden box beside own bed. The staff were kind in helping me to call my previous hotel for retrieving and shipping the charger I accidentally left. They were also very knowledgeable in recommending where to shop. There is a big map at lobby with info of good restaurants and onsen in Kanazawa.

It is a beautiful old house in walking distance to the station and main tourist attractions. Clean and quiet, I had a very relaxing stay. I slept upstairs in the huge family room and chose the futon to sleep on. So comfortable! The host, Makoto-san was very kind and helpful, explained everything very well about the house and my stay. I would happily stay here again.

The host was incredibly kind, even though he didn't speak English. On the other hand, I absolutely love the charming rural atmosphere here.

It's something different and special and will hold a happy memory in my heart. I can't quite explain exactly what makes this place so special, you have to visit to understand. Surrounded by rice fields, mountains and moss gardens, and hosted by happy, helpful humans this is a must stay for anyone coming to the area. Thank you for having us, I hope one day we will be back.
