Highly recommend and definitely want to come back! I think it’s the best place to experience the Amami life.

It’s a great location, easy to walk to the airport, grocery store, and restaurants. I would definitely stay again.

The couple who run this guesthouse are very nice and welcoming. Everything is very clean. My single room had comfortable bed and a desk; bath is down the hall. The optional Japanese breakfast is highly recommended--tasty and filling. For other meals guests use microwave and hot-water kettle to fix their own food. Quiet location with the gentle sound of the surf. I am on a bicycle ride and found the location ideal: A day's ride from Amami via Route 81, then a loop to Kasarizaka Lighthouse at northern end of island, then a ride south on Route 58.
