RoheN HAKONEYUMOTO in Hakone provides adults-only accommodation with a garden, a shared lounge and a terrace. Lovely hotel, with friendly staff and beautiful property. The private onsen was very nice, calm and relaxing.

HakoneHOSTEL1914 is located in Hakone, 6 km from Hakone-Yumoto Station. Train and bus services are available. All rooms are air conditioned. Shared bathroom. Excellent staff and really wonderful atmosphere. They can recommend onsens nearby and are kind enough to book them for you. A few blocks away from the train station. I would highly recommend this hostel.

Onsen Hostel K's House Hakone sijaitsee 15 minuutin kävelymatkan tai 4 minuutin bussimatkan päässä Hakone Yumoto -asemalta. Very welcoming. We arrived later than expected and staff provided clear instructions about how to "check in." Common space (kitchen and dining room and lounge) were exceptional and well suited for budget travelers. Binders with information about the region, etc. were very informative. My daughter and I stayed in a family room and were very comfortable. We enjoyed both the inside and outside onsen.

Boasting a garden, Japanese Traditional Inn Kamakura Rakuan is set in Kamakura in the Kanagawa region, 200 metres from Yuigahama Beach and 3.4 km from Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine. Everything was so beautiful and lots of detail. I love that there was bikes and surfboards included.

Situated in Yugawara and with Hakone-Yumoto Station reachable within 20 km, GROUNDWORK Guesthouse & Lounge features a shared lounge, non-smoking rooms, free WiFi throughout the property and a bar. I stayed here near new year’s eve until the new year. The place is not far from Yugawara station and kombinis. The place felt homey; I really liked the mattress and blanket, so comfy I always woke up late. I didn’t talk much with the staff, I wish I could but language barrier sucked. However, from the little interaction I had, you can tell he was sympa and actually wanted to interact and talk more with the guests. He offered me NYE soba which was very very nice.

I loved the space and the bathroom. There was enough space it didn't feel too small. The bed and blankets were very nice as well. Recommend! Right across from the Odawara Castle and an easy walk from the train station.

Open in April 2017, IZA Enoshima Guest House is located just a 3-minute walk from Enoshima Station and a 5-minute stroll from Katase-Enoshima Station. The location is a topnotch! Got own lounge area to eat chill! The bed & bathroom is niceee!

Featuring a bar, Guest House Kamejikan -turtle time- is set in Kamakura in the Kanagawa region, 400 metres from Zaimokuza Beach and 2.5 km from Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine. The location is amazing. The staff was exceptionally kind and we got along very well. The other people staying along with me very very kind too!
