RoheN HAKONEYUMOTO in Hakone provides adults-only accommodation with a garden, a shared lounge and a terrace. Beautiful place. Everything was perfect.

Nestled a 15-minute up-hill walk or a 4-minute bus ride away from Hakone Yumoto Station, Onsen Hostel K's House Hakone offers free WiFi throughout the entire property and an open-air hot-spring bath. Easily the most positive surprise during my trip as I booked the last available bed quite late. Very good bed(double in the dorm room), comfortable with quite a lot of storage space and your own window! They change towels daily as well which was a big plus. Toilets outside of the room which is always great, the onsen was such an amazing thing to have right in the hostel after a day of hiking, it’s small but can fit about 8 people and is a very relaxing experience. The staff were very nice and helpful with good tips for hiking and food in the area. The common areas! They were truly amazing with nice decor and good facilities, the kitchen well-stocked and two guest fridges. The main living room is spacious with plenty of seating and various board games to be played and a terrace! Overall it was an amazing stay and I didn’t not expect to meet such great people. The walk to the hostel from the station is not that bad! Just a steep incline for about 5 minutes other than that pretty easy if you just have a backpack.

Boasting a garden, Japanese Traditional Inn Kamakura Rakuan is set in Kamakura in the Kanagawa region, 200 metres from Yuigahama Beach and 3.4 km from Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine. Nice location for the new year holidays. A lot of temples around.

Situated in Yugawara and with Hakone-Yumoto Station reachable within 20 km, GROUNDWORK Guesthouse & Lounge features a shared lounge, non-smoking rooms, free WiFi throughout the property and a bar. I stayed here near new year’s eve until the new year. The place is not far from Yugawara station and kombinis. The place felt homey; I really liked the mattress and blanket, so comfy I always woke up late. I didn’t talk much with the staff, I wish I could but language barrier sucked. However, from the little interaction I had, you can tell he was sympa and actually wanted to interact and talk more with the guests. He offered me NYE soba which was very very nice.

We loved our stay at "Have a Nice Day" and would recommend it to family and friends. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The facilities are great and its presented with so much love and care. The location is great and does not really come out on the photos. You are literally opposite Odawara Castle and in the middle of the town. A little gem and one of the best places we stayed during our tour.

Well located in the Naka Ward district of Yokohama, Chillulu Hostel is located 4.5 km from Sankeien, 12 km from Nissan Stadium and 18 km from Motosumi-Bremen Shopping District. Tidiest and cleanest hostel I've ever stayed at (I've stayed at 15).

Plumhostel is set in Odawara, 1.4 km from Miyukinohama Beach and 6.7 km from Hakone-Yumoto Station. Close to railway station. Eatery and dining options.

Featuring a bar, Guest House Kamejikan -turtle time- is set in Kamakura in the Kanagawa region, 400 metres from Zaimokuza Beach and 2.5 km from Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine. Very comfortable stay near Kamakura Beach, which is a very nice area. The staff is friendly and multilingual, they are helpful and can provide very good information about the surroundings

Well situated in the Naka Ward district of Yokohama, Minato Hostel is located 7.7 km from Sankeien, 12 km from Nissan Stadium and 17 km from Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine. Nice and cozy. Small and very clean. Very good for the price.
