Amazing spot for anyone looking have a surfing experience in Japan. Rooms are clean. Bikes and surfboards are great quality. But most importantly, Sok and Emi are awesome hosts.

Tudzura ligger i Kumamoto, 2,3 km fra Hosokawa Residence Gyobutei, og har en bar samt gratis wi-fi overalt. Der er desuden røgfrie værelser. Super thankful to be accommodated as a solo traveler. The host and staff are very nice and thoughtful. I was amazed by the interior design, and selection of refreshments/drinks/books here, everything is crafted in details and I can feel their efforts and seriousness. It’s truly impressive to be staying in a historical building and surrounded by wood, while enjoying the neat environment and modern design of shared bathroom. This’s also a good location for people who want to slow down and prefer less busy areas. Walkable distance to tram and JR stations, and the nearby area of Shirakawa River’s definitely nice for a walk. And don’t forget to order fine sake by 9pm if you’d like to taste more!

みーまん奄美 ligger i Amami, 9 minutters gang fra Higashi Strand, og har et fælles opholdsområde, en bar og gratis privat parkering. The owners were so friendly, they helped us with recommendations, getting to know the area and even organised a ride to a local restaurant for us to try out. They went above and beyond, also Miman itself is a beautiful place, the rooms were clean and the bathroom was large with 2 showers. There was even a shared lounge area with manga and access to cooking facilities. Overall an amazing place, highly recommend!

The building has been beautifully maintained and furnished. Attention has been given to all the details. It's a quiet location, no traffic noise, with refreshing ocean air. The cafe is lovely, and right next door. You have privacy, because there's no staff in the hostel itself. You can get to the konbini with a 15min walk. The owners are very friendly and kind.

The couple who run it are nice, friendly and informative. I also love the little town of Akune. Try the restaurant by the fishing port. Aso Base Backpackers ligger i Aso, 33 km fra Egao Kenko Stadium Kumamoto og 42 km fra Kumamoto-borgen. Amazing hostel!!! One of the best ones I’ve ever stayed in. Super well equipped kitchen (even spices etc for cooking), very good working desk in the lounge, clean, spacious, quiet. 10/10 😍

Yufuin Country Road Youth Hostel har en god beliggenhed i Yufuin Onsen-distriktet i Yufu. Det ligger 49 km fra Oita Bank Dome, 2 km fra Kinrinko-søen og 27 km fra Beppu Station. The property is very nice. I felt like I was staying at home, and the owner was both amiable and disciplined. The onsen was wonderful and relaxing, and the mountain view in the morning was spectacular. The food prepared by the owner was delicious, and they even performed a farewell song. The owner also provided a ride to the station at 8:20 in the morning (they offer rides to the station twice in the morning, at 8:20 and 9:20). If I have the chance, I would definitely stay here again.

I really liked the couple that run the place. They keep it so clean and the community room is very user-friendly. It was comfortable as a solo female traveler. It’s a great location, easy to walk to the airport, grocery store, and restaurants. I would definitely stay again.
