Finecamp Guesthouse and Surf ligger i Miyazaki, 19 minutters gang fra Kodomo-no-Kuni, og har en have, et fælles opholdsområde og gratis privat parkering. The atmosphere is amazing. The best introduction to surf I could hope for.

Tudzura ligger i Kumamoto, 2,3 km fra Hosokawa Residence Gyobutei, og har en bar samt gratis wi-fi overalt. Der er desuden røgfrie værelser. I liked everything about this place. The facilities are beautiful, the room is a little small but comfortable and clean. The location is in a quieter part of town, so you need to walk 15-20 minutes to get into the busier/nightlife area but that was fine with me. Above all else, the hosts were really spectacular. Anna and Jun were so nice and fun to talk to, they really treat you like family. Both speak excellent English and Jun speaks Mandarin as well. They gave a bunch of recommendations for the area when I was asking about restaurants/bars/sightseeing. And wow they're both very hard workers. Jun is the owner so he's not always at Tudzura, but sometimes away doing more managerial things, I assume. When I was there, Anna was running the show, checking people in and out and cleaning all the rooms. She's a very impressive and intelligent young lady, and Tudzura is lucky to have her! I'm back home in LA now but I already miss them, and would definitely stay here again when I'm back in Kumamoto just to catch up with these friends :)

みーまん奄美 ligger i Amami, 9 minutters gang fra Higashi Strand, og har et fælles opholdsområde, en bar og gratis privat parkering. I had a great time at Minam! The place itself is clean, comfortable, relaxing. The surrounding area is so beautiful and peaceful. Not many people with Many amazing beaches really close by. The people were fun and kind. Highly recommend and definitely want to come back! I think it’s the best place to experience the Amami life.

Shioya Hostel ligger i Akune, 24 km fra Sendai-kō, og har gratis cykler, et fælles opholdsområde og gratis privat parkering. I have been on the road in Japan for 7 weeks, this is the best place I have stayed. Rooms, kitchen, toilets, showers all immaculate. Real mattresses! The couple who run it are nice, friendly and informative. I also love the little town of Akune. Try the restaurant by the fishing port. Gorgeous historic building with a modern Japanese style, our private room was absolutely perfect. It was spacious, large bed was so comfortable, quiet and such a lovely space to relax in. The common areas were lovely, clean and beautifully decorated. Great location in the town centre and so close to the train station and parking. The staff and owners are truly what makes this stay a 10/10! The warmest greetings, kind and friendly local tips and knowledge. Yufuin Country Road Youth Hostel har en god beliggenhed i Yufuin Onsen-distriktet i Yufu. Det ligger 49 km fra Oita Bank Dome, 2 km fra Kinrinko-søen og 27 km fra Beppu Station. Good view, comfortable beds, quiet and calm environment. I was here 7 years ago, so I'm so surprised that they maintain the high quality of the accommodation for so long time. Everything is as nice as 7 years ago. Appreciate the great effort by the owner.

I really liked the couple that run the place. They keep it so clean and the community room is very user-friendly. It was comfortable as a solo female traveler. It’s a great location, easy to walk to the airport, grocery store, and restaurants. I would definitely stay again.

I really enjoyed my stay at Guesthouse Matsuo A at the end of my long bicycle trip from Tokyo – very welcoming atmosphere, perfect location, and an incredibly supportive and interesting host. Highly recommended!
