The old Japanese house was warm and homey and the hosts were kind and welcoming. Two cats were a bonus. Dinner at the Thai restaurant was exceptional and highly recommended! I would be back anytime and ideally would stay for longer!

From the moment I arrived, Emi made me feel at home, with her warm and kind energy. Her husband Soku is a great surfing teacher and a kind man. The hostel is very homey, clean, comfortable and you can use their bicycles for exploring the area. I stayed for 3 nights and wish I could have stayed longer, they made me feel like part of the family ❤️ I will definitely come back again!

Tudzura ligger i Kumamoto, 2,3 km från Hosokawa Residence Gyobutei, och har en bar, rökfria rum samt gratis WiFi i alla utrymmen. Super cool minimalistic design. The mix of modern and old design is great. It was the most beautiful hotel I’ve been. The staff is very nice. Thank you. We enjoyed the night very much.

Shared space is spacious and have portable kitchen. For my kids, there are a lot of mangas and my kids read them during spared time. Staff is so kind and friendly as well. I will be back!

The couple who run it are nice, friendly and informative. I also love the little town of Akune. Try the restaurant by the fishing port. Taketa Ekimae Hostel cue ligger i Taketa och har en trädgård, en gemensam lounge, en terrass och en bar. Great location next to the train station and close to local onsen. You can receive discounted price at reception if you are interested. Breakfast was simple but fresh and very tasty. Hostel is very pretty, traditional, wooden house and has great atmosphere. 2 common spaces could be used for relaxing. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Castle ruins are close, around 20-30 minutes by walk, highly recommended to visit. There is also tourist Kyushu OLLE: Okubungo trail between train stations Bungo Taketa and Asaji. We didn't have time to visit, but looked interesting.

Magisk utsikt ner över staden nattetid. Den hemlagade frukosten var väldigt mysig. Frukost men ej middag kan göras köttfri. Coolast är de varma källorna som fyller källarvåningen. Bada så mycket som du har möjlighet till. Köpte med den speciella Country Road-handduken som minne.

I really liked the couple that run the place. They keep it so clean and the community room is very user-friendly. It was comfortable as a solo female traveler. It’s a great location, easy to walk to the airport, grocery store, and restaurants. I would definitely stay again.
