This is a hidden gem in Japan! Peaceful sorroudings and close to the beach for swimming and surfing! You don't have to be a surfer to enjoy it here, although they offer lessons. Next time i will learn to surf! The hosts here are the best! On my first night i was invited to a local festival, and when I left checked out i realized i forgot my charger, and they promptly shipped it to my next destination! You can easily get here even if you don't have a car! Take the train or bus to Miyazaki, then take a local train that stops right next to the hostel! (just make sure to bring cash to pay the train driver) There's free bicycles to explore the area!

Fan! ABURATSU ligger i Nichinan, 5 minuters promenad från Horikawa Bridge, och har en terrass, grill och utsikt över trädgården. Very nice and quirky hostel with everything you need. Nice staff and fair price.

Cactus Inn ligger i Miyazaki, 12 minuters promenad från Aoshima Shrine, och har luftkonditionerade rum och en gemensam lounge. It was very clean The instructions are straight forward The location was so convenient

Aoshima Guesthouse Hooju har ett perfekt läge i området Aoshima Onsen i Miyazaki, 13 minuters promenad från Aoshima Shrine, 1,3 km från Oasys MiniHollywood och 4,8 km från Horikiri Pass. Nice and warm atmosphere hostel, I’ve booked for 4 days at first and end up staying for almost a month, the owner have different option for different type of travellers, dorms , single room , double rooms and also a traditional wooden house in a forest you can find everyone of them on the name Hooju. I’ve been in the dorms , the atmosphere is amazing , you can meet a lot of surfers and travellers from all around the world, the location is just 2 minutes walking from the surf spot and you can also rent wetsuits, board and bike here. Every day the kitchen, bathrooms and bedroom was cleaned by the stuff. The wifi is fast! And the owner is soo friendly and he will help you with your experience , there’s also always some of the stuff employees around the place so you can ask easily to them everything you need. Oh I forgot to say , this hostel is the cheapest I’ve ever found in Japan and for what it offers I really recommend it!

Hostel Marika -ホステルマリカ- erbjuder boende i Nichinan, 18 km från Udo-jingu helgedom och 27 km från Cape Iruka. Alla rum har ett pentry och ett delat badrum. I enjoyed my stay at the hostel. Its right in the centre of Obi, close to the supermarket and old town, restaurants etc. The owner was very helpful although my Japanese was terrible she was very friendly and patient. The place is clean and the rooms feel modern and fresh
