Kagelow Mt.Fuji Hostel Kawaguchiko has been newly renovated in September 2015. Guests can enjoy the on-site bar. There are shared bathrooms on the ground floor, and Mt. Everything. The place is super nice and has everything you need.

Located a 5-minute stroll from Shimoyoshida Station, Hostel & Salon Saruya offers a renovated 80-year old Japanese-style accommodation with free WiFi. One of my absolute favourite stays, the staff are so friendly, the place it’s self felt so authentic and clean. Could not recommend it enough!

Set in Fujiyoshida, within 2 km of Fuji-Q Highland and 5.6 km of Lake Kawaguchi, Hostel Mt. Fuji - FUKUYA offers accommodation with a terrace and as well as free private parking for guests who drive. The owner was very sweet and kind; she took care of us at all times, gave us advice on what to see and where to eat, and even gifted us some little wool figurines she made herself. Everything was clean and cozy, and it had a very homely feel. We felt like when you visit your grandmother’s house, and she treats you like royalty!

Fujiyoshida Youth Hostel is situated in Fujiyoshida, within 7.8 km of Lake Kawaguchi and 25 km of Mount Fuji. The 1-star hostel has air-conditioned rooms with a shared bathroom and free WiFi. Very affordable place within walking distance of Arakura Sengen Park and two train stations. The room itself is cozy and I got a traditional style room with tatami mats and a futon. The shared toilet (it's heated!) and shower worked fine. The host is very pleasant and was happy that I got to see Mt Fuji.
