Set in Fujikawaguchiko, less than 1 km from Lake Kawaguchi, HOSTEL MICHIKUSA-YA offers accommodation with a garden, free private parking and a shared lounge. The host is very kind. He collects you from Kawaguchiko Station and brings you to the hostel otherwise it is a 30min walk. Unfortunately we didn't get to see Mt Fuji when we were here but had a lovely stay. It is very peaceful here. The facilities are great. The host has a great attention to detail. The shared showers were lovely. We stayed on the traditional futons which was a great experience.

Kagelow Mt.Fuji Hostel Kawaguchiko has been newly renovated in September 2015. Guests can enjoy the on-site bar. There are shared bathrooms on the ground floor, and Mt. I like the design of the hostel! It is so beautiful, and the staff here is kindly!

Located a 5-minute stroll from Shimoyoshida Station, Hostel & Salon Saruya offers a renovated 80-year old Japanese-style accommodation with free WiFi. I really loved this place. The room was super spacious, private, and comfortable, with a beautiful and stylish design. The location is amazing—right in the city center, located above Fuji Fabcafe, and with a rooftop offering a great view of Mount Fuji. The staff were friendly, and the stay was very pleasant. Highly recommended!

Situated in Fujikawaguchiko, 八-Hachi- Accommodation has free bikes, garden, shared lounge, and free WiFi throughout the property. The hostel was clean, tidy and presentable. The room we paid for had a Mt Fuji view and it was beautiful. Staff were very friendly offering advice and recommendations for activities and food. They even cater for Onigiri breakfast. Free bikes are available to use while staying there. Washing machines and dryers are available.

Situated in Fuji, 41 km from Shuzen-ji Temple, Kinoya Hostel features accommodation with a garden, private parking, a shared lounge and a terrace. What the town lacks in attractions, the hostel itself compensated in facilities (1 person onsen, communal area with a relaxing vibe and the option to buy drinks, clean sleeping area etc) & great services. Also it's really close from Shin-Fuji station, as well as a few shops and places to eat. The owner/person working at reception is a really cool guy who knows English that recommended some great places to take photos of Mount Fuji (ありがとうございます). Overall great price-value accommodation.

Set in Fujiyoshida, within 2 km of Fuji-Q Highland and 5.6 km of Lake Kawaguchi, Hostel Mt. Fuji - FUKUYA offers accommodation with a terrace and as well as free private parking for guests who drive. The room was amazing, super spacious and comfortable. The host was really nice and recommended different places to eat. The location was also great.

Fujiyoshida Youth Hostel is situated in Fujiyoshida, within 7.8 km of Lake Kawaguchi and 25 km of Mount Fuji. The 1-star hostel has air-conditioned rooms with a shared bathroom and free WiFi. The host is incredibly thoughtful and owns a wonderful house, well located in the center of Fujiyoshida. We had a very warm welcome and great advice from our host, who also always kept the surroundings remarkably clean and tended to any of our needs. Our Japanese-style room was the cherry on the top, traditional and functional, comfortable and cozy, cleaner than most hotels.

Dot Hostel&Bar 富士山 is located in Fujikawaguchiko. With a shared lounge, the property also has a bar. American breakfast is available. We stayed in a beautiful twin room which was roomy enough for luggage, a small table and chairs. It included a full bathroom with a tub shower. The lounge area was comfortable and pleasant to hang out in. The kitchen facilities were comfortable enough so that someone could make simple meals for themselves. We traveled to the area by bus, and the bus stop was adjacent to the hostel. Just be careful watching the bus schedule, early and late times are not available. The location was terrific. We had great views of Fujisan, an enjoyable garden area along the lake, and miles of walking or biking path.
