Very nice hostel with a very friendly owner. The place looked very nice, was very clean and futon beds very great to sleep on. We even got to see the Fuji in the evenining from our room.

Kagelow Mt.Fuji Hostel Kawaguchiko has been newly renovated in September 2015. Guests can enjoy the on-site bar. There are shared bathrooms on the ground floor, and Mt. Great vibe, nice ambiance in the main areas. Beautiful architecture and decoration. Dinner and bar was exceptional and very well priced. Friendly and helpful staff. Great shower pressure and facilities. Japanese style room was beautiful and very comfortable futons.

Located a 5-minute stroll from Shimoyoshida Station, Hostel & Salon Saruya offers a renovated 80-year old Japanese-style accommodation with free WiFi. Highly curated space, traditional setting with modern upgrades. We stayed in the second building- well equipped with heating in the shared spaces and the guestroom had a separate heater and secondary double glazed sliding windows to keep the warmth in. Option to rent bikes for 500yen per day.

Situated in Fuji, 41 km from Shuzen-ji Temple, Kinoya Hostel features accommodation with a garden, private parking, a shared lounge and a terrace. Nice location, close to the Shinkansen station. Nearby is a family mart and a little further a McDonalds for midnight snacking. We also enjoyed the hot tube bath experience and sleeping on the tatami floor was comfortable.

The hostel was squeaky clean. The bathrooms are either new or were remodeled recently and are in pristine condition. The bed in the dorm was very comfortable and cozy. They offer free bicycles, tea/coffee, and Japanese snacks. There's a lovely rooftop with lounge chairs and a view of Mount Fuji. Not a party place. Definitely, one of the nicest hostels I've stayed at. Highly recommend.

Set in Fujiyoshida, within 2 km of Fuji-Q Highland and 5.6 km of Lake Kawaguchi, Hostel Mt. Fuji - FUKUYA offers accommodation with a terrace and as well as free private parking for guests who drive. The owner is an absolute sweetheart. She runs the hostel by herself and does all the cleaning and hostel preparations for your arrival. She is fluent in English as well which is a big plus to foreign travelers. I contacted her that I was going to be checking in slightly late and she said it was alright. The first night I stayed in a bunk and the 2nd night was a private room. I slept very well both nights and the hostel has a very home-y feeling to it. The location is also excellent being <10minute walk from Gekkouji station. Owner recommended me to visit Arakurayama park to get a view of Mt fuji and it was worth it. I went at sunrise with other travelers. It is about 15 minute walk to the location.

Fujiyoshida Youth Hostel is situated in Fujiyoshida, within 7.8 km of Lake Kawaguchi and 25 km of Mount Fuji. The 1-star hostel has air-conditioned rooms with a shared bathroom and free WiFi. We booked this accommodation at the very last minute as it was the only option available in Fujiyoshida at the time. Because of that, we had no expectations, but staying in this guesthouse turned out to be one of the best experiences of our lives. On our way to the village, we read that the house has been preserved in a traditional style for over 90 years, which immediately impressed us. We were welcomed by the sweetest elderly lady, who speaks English in the most charming way and kindly showed us the entire house. Everything was incredibly clean and beautiful. Even though the facilities (bathroom, toilet, kitchen) are shared, they always looked as if they had just been cleaned right before we arrived. Sleeping on the floor was surprisingly the most comfortable sleep we’ve ever had - unbelievably cozy. The absolute highlight was the morning. We opened the window and were greeted by a perfect 10/10 view of Mount Fuji that day. We were left completely breathless. We truly wished we had stayed more than one night. This was a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Located in Fujiyoshida, within 2.4 km of Fuji-Q Highland and 6.7 km of Lake Kawaguchi, Hostel 1889 provides accommodation with a terrace and free WiFi throughout the property as well as free private... best place ever - the most gorgeous view! wasted money on the mt fuji panorama rail. the view from the roof of the hostel was so much better! less than 1km from the best bakery (kimuraya) and rooms were very clean and comfy. great facilities could not recommend more
