Our first stop in our Japan trip couldn't be better. The Guesthouse has an amazing view on the canal and the nature around. The room is very comfy. The unique part of this guesthouse is that the common area open as a café during the day, which we quite liked as it created a more charm. The owners are the most welcoming people we ever found, and they were always very helpful in case we needed something. The location of the Guesthouse is perfect with a car, as you are very close to supermarkets, Izuhara, Shiratake mountain and the airport.

Located in Goto and within 15 km of Fukue Catholic Church, ta bi to〈旅人〉 features a shared lounge, non-smoking rooms, and free WiFi. The building has been beautifully maintained and furnished. Attention has been given to all the details. It's a quiet location, no traffic noise, with refreshing ocean air. The cafe is lovely, and right next door. You have privacy, because there's no staff in the hostel itself. You can get to the konbini with a 15min walk. The owners are very friendly and kind.

Set in Nagasaki and within 1.3 km of Nagasaki Station, Almas Guest House(アルマス） features a shared lounge, non-smoking rooms, and free WiFi. I stayed here for two nights. The location is great, you have public transportation in walking distance. The cabin in the mixed dorm was amazing, the bed was very comfy, there was a safe for valuables and enough room to put my backpack. I met the owner briefly and she was very warm and welcoming, as was all the staff I encountered. They thoroughly clean all the facilities every morning. I couldn’t recommend staying here more when you visit Nagasaki!

Set within 2.8 km of Nagasaki Station and 5.4 km of Nagasaki Atomic Bomb Museum, Nagasaki Kagamiya provides rooms in Nagasaki. This 1-star hostel features free WiFi and a garden. The owners, Yukari and her husband, and the staff made the difference, They were really nice and helpful. Everything was really clean. I had the tatami room which was really spacious. There is free tea/coffee and toast with jam which is a nice addition looking at the price. There is also a laundry service for 800 yen. It is also located nicely, 5 minutes away from a tram station (line 3 and 5) and just 10 seconds away from a shinto shrine that you have to visit. To reach Kagamiya, you can get tram 5 (Hotarujaya) or a taxi (about 1400/1500 yen) from Nagasaki station. For the light sleepers, there is a road next to the hotel and the walls are thin. If you like, the owner also has 2 kimono rental shops, one recently opened on Dejima island, go check it out. Overall, I can really recommend Kagamiya, if I ever go to Nagasaki again, this will be my first choice.

Located in the heart of Nagasaki, Hostel Casa Noda features free Wi-Fi available in all areas. The hostel has a rooftop terrace. Guests can use the washing machine placed at the rooftop. The bunks were cosy with good room, the showers were hot and spacious, everything was kept clean, the Laundromat on site is cheap and the dryers are actually good at drying. 10/10. Common area had plenty of seating and a fully equipped kitchen. Will be staying here again.
