Some travellers to chat with in the well furnished kitchen and common room downstairs. Right next to Nara train station. Nice walk to Nara park from the property past many restaurants and stores. Glad I stayed in here in Nara rather than doing a day trip.

Great hostel in the 100+ years house. Big kitchen with all you need, good public zones including a small garden, comfortable beds, breakfast is ok. There is a laundry machine and a dryer. The host is helpful and kind. You can leave lagguage before check in and after check out. Some reviewers complain about cracking noise - yes, this is old wooden house, it cracks, but it is very authentic and very clean.

We were absolutely delighted. Not for those looking for a luxurious modern hotel, but absolutely perfect for us. Very close to everywhere we wanted to go, right next to Nara park, but not far from the station. Takashi, our host, was charming and spoke perfect English. He recommended where to go and returned to the house to show us how to turn the heating on when it got cold. We had a wonderful stay and we already miss it!

Amazing staff who respond quickly to messages on booking.com!! Super welcoming and went above and beyond. The rooms are clean, the AC works really well and can be adjusted as wanted, bathrooms are clean and one was always available. There are large tables with lots of chairs in the main room, two couches and an outdoor area. A small kitchen that has everything you need including cups, utensils, bowls, kettle, tea, pots pans etc. Highly recommend, I would stay here again in a heartbeat
