Perfect place to stay before and after hiking, 5 min away from the station, really good view from the lounge and it was the perfect temperature at night to rest, around end of June, after hiking mount Yotei. The owner is such a nice guy, knowledgeable about hiking too, he drove me to the trailhead in the morning ! The bed were confortable and clean, like everything else in this place.

Located a 10-minute bus ride from JR Kutchan Railway Station, My Ecolodge offers simple yet cosy rooms with free WiFi. They offered a big ski storage room, large enough dining room where you can bring your own food (although we were half board and were happy with the cuisine). There seem to be enough parking space in front and they offer shuttle to the ski area each morning.

The staff was super friendly and helpful, and there are shuttle bus services to Grand Hirafu. It had all the facilities you need for cooking, as well as a spacious common area for connecting with other travellers. This location is close to a convenience store and within walking distance to nearby restaurants. Highly recommend for solo travellers/small groups who is looking for a comfortable and affordable stay.

The restaurant was amazing. we ate breakfast everyday and dinner a few times during our stay, and the food was always amazing. It was a little quiet, but the hosts were incredibly welcoming, and anan-san even gave us some tips on where to get find powder stashes!

Situated 4.2 km from Hirafu Station, Owashi Lodge offers 2-star accommodation in Kutchan and has a shared lounge, a restaurant and a bar. You would be hard pressed to find a better location for this price. Keep in mind, it is at the base of the "Powder Capital of the world." And if you're smart about it, you'll only have to walk about 190m (3min) the Sansui Niseko parking lot to access the slopes, ski down to the Ace Family Quad Lift, and you're mountain adventure has begun! Most of the high-end resorts have a longer walk to the lifts! The staff was amazing. Very helpful. No problem accepting and holding our luggage and snowboards, which we sent in advance via Black Cat. Plus, they're all ski-bums, so they might know a thing or two about the mountain. Think about it. They probably hit the slopes way more than you, like every day for months. Access to the food trucks behind the Owashi lodge made it real easy to find great food. The free breakfast was simple but effective. Carbs and protein. Perfect for a pre-Pow meal.
