The walk / steps up the temple are also definitely worth it 😁

Nice design, SO clean, great facility and the best service ever - Alrik was fantastic and welcoming. We felt very much at home. Anyone trying to decide if they should book or not - DO IT! Located in Sanuki, 13 km from Yakuri-ji Temple, 宿 inn TEK-TEK provides accommodation with free bikes, free private parking and a shared lounge. Such a cozy & welcoming space with tons of little touches! The guest house staff were lovely and made sure I knew where to find everything. They had a really nice common area with tea, snacks, miso soup for free as well as snacks & cups of noodle soup to buy and a nice little kitchen that everyone could use. The rooms are small but clean, well equipped and contain everything you need. I also really appreciated that they had a locker outside to use for free for pilgrims hiking up to temple 88 - such a kind gesture and perfect for those like me who needed somewhere to leave their large backpacks while making the steep climb up to 88.

Set in Mitoyo, 43 km from Liminal Air-core Takamatsu, BED N CHILL Shippoya 七宝屋 offers accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a terrace and a bar. It is one of the best spots I stayed on Shikoku island. The host and his family created a little paradise. Very nice garden. New facilities with large bed in dormitory with much privacy. And the bar is just a jewel. Very tasteful with a large selection of beers. A super bonus is that the host speaks very good English since he stays a couple of years in Canada. Just go there and experience yourself. You can thank me later

Featuring a garden, shared lounge, bar and free WiFi, Hostel & Tatami Bar Uchikobare -内子晴れ- is set in Uchiko, a few steps from Machiya Resource Center and 200 metres from Omura Residence. Daisuke and his staff are very friendly and helpful. As walking Henro, with only basic Japanese, we particularly appreciated their assistance finding our next accommodation. The Sake tasting sets are great, as is the local Uchiko beer and the prepared dinners scrumptious. The guest house is located in an ideal location for exploring the fabulous old Uchiko houses, in short, thoroughly recommended.
