It is new this December, and the owners have put so much effort into making it an enjoyable place and that is conducive to a peaceful stay and a community atmosphere. The facilities are clean and comfortable, and the location is right next to a lovely beach (great place to be for sunset). The breakfast is fantastic, and there are plenty of indoor and outdoor spaces to spend time, do work, or talk to other people in the hostel. Arjuna the owner is very friendly and helpful, and goes above and beyond to make sure visitors are happy and comfortable. I would enthusiastically recommend Colombo Mount Hostel for anyone looking for a peaceful and fun stay in the Colombo area.

Room was clean, had both AC and fan as well which were greatly utilized in the heat. Staff was very flexible (we wanted to separate the beds because of our mosquito nets and it was immediately done). There’s also free coffee and tea at the rooftop, and a fridge there as well. Location was greart, very good cafes and restaurants nearby. One important thing though: the sign of the hostel is hard to see!:) But it’s on the other side of Citi Bank, next to “Slit city” sign which is easier to spot. Bathroon was good as well, very clean and pretty.

What a lovely place!🥺 The staff is very kind and helpful, and the room is clean, safe, and spacious. The maintenance is superb—we loved the large lobby area. The hospitality is outstanding, and I truly appreciated it. They are equally kind to both locals and foreigners. The best part is that I had a chance to support their prevention programs, as they use the hostel’s profits to fund these initiatives. That means a lot to me. I encourage everyone to book a reservation at this hostel and help support these meaningful programs. Thank you. 🙏
