Located within 10 km of Tissa Wewa and 27 km of Situlpawwa, Go Yala Hostel provides rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Tissamaharama. I stayed at Go Yala Hostel for one night before my Yala safari, and it was an excellent choice. The hostel is very clean, comfortable, and surrounded by real village and farm views, which makes the stay peaceful and authentic. The dorm beds were comfortable, the A/C worked well, and there are nice common areas to relax. The biggest highlight was the sharing Yala safari arranged directly by the hostel. It was well organized, affordable, and the jeep and guide were very professional. Everything was smooth from pickup to drop-off. The eco kitchen experience and local food were a nice bonus and felt very genuine. The staff were friendly, helpful, and always smiling. If you’re a backpacker or budget traveler visiting Yala National Park, this hostel is perfect. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting Tissamaharama.

This was my favorite place in Sri Lanka! The beach is amazing, and the hostel is right in front of it—literally, you just cross the street! The ocean view from the upper rooms is beautiful! We traveled as a group of four friends, and Sachi always made sure we had everything we needed. The entire staff was super friendly, and the food was good too! I definitely want to come back!

The host and location were fantastic, situated right by the entrance to Medaketiya Beach with safe swimming area and close to the stunning Mangrove Beach and national parks. The service was unexpectedly excellent, and the breakfast offered a variety of delicious options for the price. Best lassi in this area.

Situated in Yala, 500 metres from Palatupana Beach, Yala Ying Yang Hostel & Camping features accommodation with a garden, free private parking and a restaurant. Beautiful place in heaven. Beautiful people and animals. This place is wild and so peaceful. We obviously stayed longer than what we had planned. We just came to do the safari (which we didn't enjoy so much) but the Yala Yang Hostel is the reason why we stayed longer. Would love to come back, I truly recommend it !
