I liked absolutely everything about my stay here: spacious female dorm with big table and separate zone for suitcases, spacious bathroom as well, comfy bed with a socket and private lighting. The whole area is super clean. You have access to tea and coffee 24/7 and can enjoy them on the terrace with nice view. It's around 20 min walk from the centre or 200-300 lkr by tuktuk. Udaya, the host, is super nice and super helpful, always in touch and giving tips on every question you have.

Our stay at Ku’Vana Hostel Kandy was truly enjoyable. The room is simple and very comfortable, with clean and cozy beds that made for a good night’s sleep. Bathrooms are well maintained and tended to daily, which we really appreciated. The facilities are straightforward, but everything worked smoothly, and the atmosphere was welcoming and relaxed. The location is excellent just a short distance from the city centre, making it easy to explore Kandy, yet still quiet enough to enjoy some peace. What really stood out was the hospitality. The staff were incredibly warm, friendly, and always ready to help with anything we needed. Breakfast each morning was a highlight delicious, generous, and a great start to the day. For the price this hostel offers exceptional value. Clean, convenient, and filled with genuine hospitality it felt more like staying with friends than in a hostel. We would definitely choose to stay here again when we return to Kandy.

Interior dan Exterior dari hostel ini sederhana, tapi sangat layak untuk dihuni, terutama kamar mandi dan kamar tidurnya, cukup nyaman dan sesuai dengan budget, worth it untuk tidur disini, bahkan jika anda ingin mencuci baju anda, Mr. Asanka akan memberikan deterjen dan baju anda akan kering dalam 1 hari. Jika banyak nyamuk, itu juga bukan masalah besar karena Mr. Asanka (hotel owner) akan memberikan anda minyak anti nyamuk dan juga tempat tidur anda memiliki cover sehingga nyamuk tidak akan menggigit anda. Namun, hal yang terpenting dari hostel ini adalah Owner Hostel bernama Mr. Asanka yang sangat kooperatif dan menyenangkan, dia tau hampir semua hal tentang Peradeniya, mulai dari sejarah, lokasi wisata, dan tempat makan yang enak + murah. Dia memberikan pelayanan seperti berada di hotel Bintang 4, bahkan saya rasa tidak semua staff di hotel bintang 4 memiliki pelayanan dan attitude seperti dia. Dia sangat baik kepada saya, dan tentunya semua foreigner yang tinggal di hostelnya. Pertama kali tiba di Peradeniya, dia menjemput saya di stasiun dan mengantar saya ke hostelnya, jadi saya tidak bingung saat itu. Dia juga memberikan anda makanan jika anda membutuhkannya karena keluarganya akan memasak untuk anda. Jika anda perlu sesuatu, dia akan dengan senang hati menjawabnya. Bahkan jika anda ingin pergi wisata ke suatu tempat yang dekat dari hostelnya, dia pasti akan dengan gembira menemani anda, Mr. Asanka menemani saya ke Tea Factory, Tea Plantation, Ice Cream Shop, king coconut store, Sungai dengan batuan yang indah, dua Vihara, dan Jembatan ikonik.

A Pleasant Surprise at Palm Garden! We booked Palm Garden without checking any reviews—only afterward did we take a look and feel a bit unsure. My husband even told me not to say anything about the booking, just to see how it was when we got there. But to our surprise, from the moment we arrived, everything was wonderful. At the doorstep, we were greeted by Madu at reception, who welcomed us with the warmest smile—as if we had known her for years! 😊 Our room was spotlessly clean, very spacious, with a large comfortable bed and a lovely balcony overlooking a beautiful view. It was clear that the staff really care about maintaining a high standard.

Their rooftop restaurant was awesome! Had their breakfast burrito twice and think it was one of the tastier things I had in Kandy. They're more of an upscale hostel, so the rooms are clean and well-designed. A little pricier, but certainly worth it if you're wanting a slightly more comfortable dorm experience! Location is good, about a 15 minute walk into the town alongside the lake and about 5 minutes from one of the performance centers for the Kandy traditional fire-dance experiences.
