The place is spotless and thoughtfully designed, with a beautiful garden, a shared kitchen, and cozy little spaces for reading or relaxing. Books are everywhere, free tea and coffee are always available, and the whole space feels warm and welcoming — more like staying in someone’s home than at a guesthouse. The real highlight, though, is Udaya. He’s one of those rare hosts who genuinely cares. From small details to big arrangements, he always made sure I was comfortable and had everything I needed. Even after I left Kandy, he helped me organize a fantastic driver for my onward trip and kept in touch to make sure all was going smoothly — such a thoughtful gesture. The location is great too: peaceful and quiet, but still an easy walk into the city and close to all the main sights. I left feeling not just rested but uplifted by the kindness and positivity here. And considering everything that’s included, the value is incredible. If you’re heading to Kandy, I can’t recommend Eden Kandy enough — it’s the kind of place you’ll remember long after you’ve left.

Carls Corner is a wonderful oasis in the hills just above Kandy. It's close to the city, and yet very calm and surrounded by nature. The beds are comfy and the hostel is very well designed. The hostel is social, with many solo travellers looking for a relaxed vibe to meet other people. But above all, Carl is an incredible host and a pleasure to be around. He cares so much about his guests and is always willing to help, suggest things, hangout and chat. He's also a phenomenal cook, I really recommend asking him to make some of his rice and curries, it was a highlight of my stay. Carl's Corner is an absolute gem in Kandy, and I would recommend it to anyone in a heartbeat.

I had a great stay at Diamond Shine Hostel in Kandy. The location is excellent, with beautiful mountain views that make the place feel peaceful and special. The hostel is clean, comfortable, and perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. The owners are amazing — very kind, friendly, and always ready to help. They made me feel truly welcome. I would definitely recommend this hostel and stay here again.

I Peradeniya, 3,4 kilometer fra Kandy Royal Botanic Gardens, ligger Ella Way Resort-Peradeniya, som har en hage og privat parkering. The atmosphere was superb! Exceptional value for the cost. They offer everything travelers require, including a washing machine, with friendly staff.

I Kandy, 1,8 kilometer fra Kandy Royal Botanic Gardens og 6,7 kilometer fra Kandy jernbanestasjon, ligger Nature Lovers' Hostel, som tilbyr overnatting med en hage og gratis WiFi. Host is a super friendly guy and does everything to make your stay as comfortable as possible. He took me to a teafactory and offered to show me even more around. He has profound knowledge about the whole area and it was the best Sri Lankan-breakfast i had so far :) The proberty is away from the main roads so all u gonna hear are the sounds of nature. Havn't slept that good for a while ;)

Wonderful place, blessing manager and volunteer, great hospitality!! I strongly recommend this hostel for a peaceful stay close to Kandy city in beautiful environment 💖👍👍👍
