My stay was absolutely wonderful, Udaya made sure that I have lovely time at the property but also was very present both before my arrival - by sending me all necessary information and also after me leaving - by arranging transport and sending me off with handwritten instructions for bus driver. He is an absolute treasure. Rooms and facilities are as illustrated in pictures, very clean, fresh and beds were comfy.

It seems that the location is not in the center, but it is very close to the center. I lived in a shared room, but there were no neighbors. Very cozy guesthouse with nice hosts.

Superb hospitality, the most friendly family ever. The host Chathuranga and his mother felt like family, his mum even baked a cake for my arrival afternoon tea.! HUGE BREAKFAST, I couldn't finish it. So many delicious Sri Lanka favourites, coconut roti, dhal, rice, chicken curry, mango, sambal and some sweet fritters, I can't remember the name See the photos, comfortable bed, white fresh sheets, fluffy white towel and thin blanket, Fan in the room, my room had a TV monitor with games console but I didn't use it. 4 toilet cubicles outside, and 2 shower cubicles with HOT WATER. Another 2 wash basins inside, outdoor terrace smoking area. Wonderful views, they offered tea and coffee often, I brought my own instant coffee so they gave me a kettle. Electric power sockets next to each bed. Square pin, adaptor maybe required but they gave me one. Quiet peaceful area. Walking distance to the town, or jump on any bus from the main road, tuk tuk access if required. Access up a driveway from the road, see my photos. (Google may show you right outside a house on the road but the hostel Homestay is accessed from a driveway / slip road 30 metres before) it's just 50 metres up this driveway. Fan jn the room, I didn't use, the room was perfect temperate. It's January now. Handsoap in the washroom. Comfortable lounge chairs and seating area inside and out. The family has only recently started taking guests into the Homestay and I encourage you to stay and enjoy this wonderful Sri Lanka hospitality. I've been to kandy dozens of times over the years and I believe Kandy needs more quality hostels like this with top quality comfortable service and facilities at a budget price. If you are even considering you're options I would definitely choose this because the breakfast included blows the competition away. Anywhere else you would pay good money for the breakfast. As it is included it's a no brainier decision.

It was a wonderful day in the heart of Peradeniya.This place could be the best place to stay before you visit Ella or Kandy city.you can get Kandy -Ella train at Sarasaviuyana train station or at Peradeniya train station..Both are located 2.5km away from this place.Kandy city centre, Kandy Tooth relic temple is 6km away.Peradeniya Royal botanical garden is 3km away.you can visit Kandy Tooth relic temple,Bahirawakanda Temple,Udawatte tropical rain forest and temple is 30 minutes travel by Bus or tuk tuk.you don't want to go through a busy ,big city and make sure to get a seat on a train or a bus to travel Ella or Sigiriya rock fortress...you can get it by just walking 20 minutes.we decided to book this homestay a few stops before Kandy city.it was a great choice as not only we got a help to get a ticket to Ella train.We spent wonderful day with host family with their 3 kids talking,playing cards,.Host family speak very good English and they are well mannered with foreigners.we decided to stay two more days to visit Peradeniya university garden .it is away from walking distance.According to my travel experience Kandy/Peradeniya are best cities to stay and look around and taste traditional Sri Lankan foods,fruits and culture.They offered us traditional Sri Lankan food for breakfast,lunch and dinner.it was extremely delicious and low in spice you can get nice mountain hike by walking to Hanthana mountain range.it is 500m away.This place is located very next to Kandy-Mahakanda Bus road ..it gets 40 minutes by Bus and 9 km away from Kandy city centre ..If I visit Sri Lanka again ,I will book this place..sure ....I am a Denmark traveller and this experience is amazing...

This place could be the best place to stay before you catch a train to Ella in/near Kandy. We didn't want to go through a busy, big city and make sure to get a seat on a train to Ella so we decided to book a hostel a few stops before Kandy. It was the right choice as not only we got a help to get a ticket to Ella but also we had such a great time in this hostel that we just decided to stay one more day here! People just pass by Kandy but Kandy is full of interesting and historical sites to look around! The most helpful owner I've ever met in my traveling time, not only gave us an amazing tour around Kandy but also provided us with his speciality Lankan breakfast! The toilet & shower is very cleanly maintained, and you get the nice mountain and temple view, a small front garden to sit and relax, amazing local restaurants are nearby. You can never get these good things for the price in anywhere else! If I come back to Kandy again, I would definitely stay here again! The owner was just so knowledgeable about culture / society / history and friendly with exceptional English and made us comfortable in every way. Don't hesitate to come to this place!

I loved the location of the place. The lake is near and so beautiful. The staff was very kind and and helpful. With the breakfast and dinner it has a very good value for money. I liked the garden too.

They offer breakfast, lunch and dinner (not included on the booking. It's a beautiful place if you want to spend a chill time. Consider you should take a 30 min Bus till you reach Kandy downtown.
