Stayed here for two weeks and absolutely loved it. The place is new, modern, spotless, and full of thoughtful little touches. Huge shoutout to the cleaning crew and the front desk staff — friendly, knowledgeable, and made me feel genuinely taken care of. This was my first-ever hostel stay — straight off my bucket list — and multiple seasoned hostel travellers told me I was very lucky with my first choice. Would definitely come back!

Elmar Hostel is gelegen in Bacalar, en biedt gratis fietsen. Er is een terras en je kunt er gebruik van maken gratis WiFi en gratis privéparkeren. Kamers bij het hostel hebben een koffiezetapparaat. Excellent staff and location facing the lagoon, breakfast included, bicycles, and kayaks! I recommend the sunrise tours from the hostel.

Kin Hostal and Camping bevindt zich in Holbox, op 16 minuten lopen van Playa Holbox, en biedt conciërgediensten, kamers, een tuin, gratis WiFi in de hele accommodatie en een terras. Best campground, relaxed atmosphere and super nice and helpful host. The grounds are well looked after and everything is cleaned very thoroughly every day. We would definitely come again.

The host was very helpful and always available. They have bikes for rental at 30 pesos ($1.6) per hour, so very decent pricing. The room was so spacious! Almost every hotel we stayed at had only HOT or COLD water, nothing in between. This was literally the only place that actually had warm water which was amazing! The hammock was so comfy that came with the bed. There was a shared kitchen with pots and pans, refrigerator, coffee maker, etc. She even had free water which most places did not have any. They had AC too which was lovely. It was also only a block or two from the ferry, super nice when we had to leave in the morning.

Hostel Humanity - Puerto Morelos ligt in Puerto Morelos, op 33 km van Internationaal busstation ADO, en biedt accommodatie met een buitenzwembad, gratis privéparkeren, een tuin en een gedeelde lounge.... The host Ben took the time to welcome me and direct me via a map to the best places to eat and local happenings, like the Sunday fleamarket, which I otherwise would have missed. He spent time discussing his vision and the ethos of the place which I appreciated. The pool and covered patio was very welcoming and peaceful. I met and talked to interesting people and it was nice to socialise with older travellers for a change. (I was one of 3 other solo women travellers). When dogs from the street charged at me, which was scary, Ben was immediately by my side to chase them away. Ben, thank you for that and goe taking time to ensure I felt very at home at Humanity.

Ukayil heeft accommodatie in Bacalar. Alle kamers bij het hostel hebben een eigen badkamer en beddengoed. Vliegveld Internationale luchthaven Chetumal ligt op 34 km van de accommodatie. Spacious and clean room, comfortable bed, nice extra touches like coffee, water and a small fridge, walking distance to everything you need. Would definitely recommend Ukayil!

Hostel Oryx Tulum heeft een buitenzwembad, een tuin, een gedeelde lounge en een bar in Tulum Pueblo. Beautiful hostel in a quiet area but in the centre, close to the bus station! Staff were super helpful and the hostel cat was the cutest 😍

Mayan Monkey Tulum - Social Hotel ligt in Tulum en beschikt over een restaurant, een buitenzwembad, een bar en een tuin. Dit was wellicht één van de meest luxueze hostels die ik ooit aandeed. Het was ook zeer proper en het team aan de balie is behulpzaam (al was er wel iemand die niet zo goed Engels sprak). Het is mooi gelegen en er worden fietsen verhuurd door het hostel zelf. Leeftijdsvork zit tussen 26 en 40 jaar volgens mij.

Mayan Monkey Cancun - Social Hotel bevindt zich in Cancun, op 2 minuten lopen van Playa Chacmool, en biedt accommodatie met een buitenzwembad, gratis privéparkeren, een terras en een restaurant. The staff was amazing, they were like family. Rooms and bathrooms were well taken care of, and the people were great. Fantastic!
