Homy Seafront Hostel is situated in Kota Kinabalu, within 3.6 km of Sabah State Museum & Heritage Village and 5.4 km of North Borneo Railway. Good location , close to plenty of food options. Breakfast was simple, but good.

Beds are super comfortable, you even have two pillows each; the rooms also come with a proper locker and a nice towel. There are plenty of bathrooms, you can always find your spot when you need it, it's super clean and the hot shower works perfectly. Whenever you want you can feel free to make yourself a coffee or a nice tea, they have a fully equipped kitchen and a fridge where you can store your goods. You have some dirty clothes? No worries, the washer and dryer are also there! But let's dive into the best feature, the staff. They are ALWAYS available and kind, ready to guide you through all the places and tours in the area; everything can be booked by the hostel thus guaranteeing you reliability and relaxation. For the smoker friends, the hostel come with a cozy smoking area. In sum, stop looking further, book this amazing place!

8 km from Borneo Convention Centre Kuching, The Wheelhouse is situated in Kuching and features air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi. It is in the city centre and the host is incredibly kind and helpful

Located in Semporna, Project X Scuba offers a shared lounge. The accommodation provides a 24-hour front desk, airport transfers, a shared kitchen and free WiFi throughout the property. What a beautiful place run by the most lovely Malays. The place is impeccably clean and super efficiently run. It is close to all ammenities and they can even book all the tours for you and will shortly be running their own scuba diving programs. I would highly recommend staying here if only just to experience Malay hospitality at it finest.

Located in Semporna, The Nest Hostel features free WiFi. The accommodation provides a shared kitchen and a shared lounge for guests. Everything. Cozy place with free coffee and snacks. Free washing machine. Great view on the sea. And the most important: a really warm welcome and the owner, William, really makes you feel like part of the family. We had an amazing stay here. William is the best host you can think of. Very professional and fast when it comes to booking tours or diving sessions. But also always in for a good talk, good time, party, he really becomes a friend since the 1st day. The rooms are very clean and the place really has an appropriate name « the nest », it is how you feel staying here. I highly recommend this place for every kind of stay.

Located within 5.6 km of Filipino Market Sabah and 400 metres of North Borneo Railway, Dazzle Home Aeropod provides rooms with air conditioning and a shared bathroom in Tanjong Aru. Spacious & cozy room. Seems spotless, but there's a baby cockroach inside my room, still alive. Very hard to catch 😂

Concrete Jungle Cabin is set in Kota Kinabalu, within 4.1 km of Sabah State Museum & Heritage Village and 5.2 km of Likas City Mosque. I would highly recommend this place, it's spotless, comfy beds, tea and coffee available all day, nice, simple, easy, lovely people to help out when needed

AeCOTEL Mingle Hostel is located in Sandakan. The accommodation provides a shared kitchen, a shared lounge and organising tours for guests. Clean, cozy place with an equipped kitchen, washing machine. Right in the very centre. Well priced. Amazing staff - always helpful. We even decided to book it again after coming back from the river tour. They also rent cars, scooters and help with booking tours, busesz etc. All you need in one place :)
