Great location, historic buildings with many original features, lots of hang out space and books. I did A Chef Tour food tasty walking tour which started nearby, excellent, 15 food tasting, learned about the area and Malay culture on this walking tour and discovered some super places to eat. Also I could store my bicycle inside.

I really enjoyed my stay at Aayu sekchuan. The building has a lovely heritage charm but feels modern and well-kept inside. My room was spacious, clean, and quiet—perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. The location is super convenient, with lots of food, cafes, and sights within walking distance. The staff were also really friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay again next time I’m in Penang!
