The common areas were very cosy and comfy, and you really felt at home. It's a great place to stay and base yourself around Ipoh and a gateway to the Cameron Highlands. Cannot recommend this hostel enough.

Situated in Ipoh, less than 1 km from Ipoh Parade, Homey Hostel, Ipoh Town features air-conditioned accommodation and a shared lounge. I stayed here both times when I was in Ipoh. Room and common area were clean and tidy. Hostel is located near a night market, Malay food court (must try their satay and nasi goreng ayam), 2 amazing kopitiams for breakfast and brunch and a few famous (with tourist) chinese restaurants (nasi ayam tauge, hor fun, salted chicken).

The location is quite convenient, especially being close to the UTAR area. The owner provided a detailed guideline before check-in. Basically, it is a self check-in and check-out process. The owner was responsive when I faced any issues, which was helpful.
