The common areas were very cosy and comfy, and you really felt at home. It's a great place to stay and base yourself around Ipoh and a gateway to the Cameron Highlands. Cannot recommend this hostel enough.

Good wifi; spacious rooms; there are lockers for valuables; hot water; very clean; the stuff is always nice and helpful; good location (20 min walk to the nearest beach; restaurants and shop nearby-1-2 min walk; 15 min walk to jetty area and the duty free shops/banks/more shops and restaurants); the stuff can help you with a taxi if u need it; scooters rental everywhere (I did not use this service); free water and instant coffee; TV in the common area; i had the room with a balcony facing the street (can be a little noisy, but i was ok). Although the rooms are mixed, because there are not many tourists, the stuff put us in rooms girls with girls and men with men. Maybe this won’t be possible if the rooms are full. It was possible when I was there.

Room and common area were clean and tidy. Hostel is located near a night market, Malay food court (must try their satay and nasi goreng ayam), 2 amazing kopitiams for breakfast and brunch and a few famous (with tourist) chinese restaurants (nasi ayam tauge, hor fun, salted chicken).
