O El Zopilote Permaculture Farm/hostel é um albergue para mochileiros e uma fazenda de permacultura ao mesmo tempo. The place is completely located in nature. It’s so lovely and beautiful. They have nice activities! I love the permaculture project and the 2hours-free yoga every morning. I also really liked the mushroom tour and the pizza night with psytrance music. You also can rent scooter and go to the waterfalls. The stuff and the volunteers are super nice and helpful and the food is super delicious.

We stayed in one of the new private rooms which had a bathroom. Nice distance from the party on a Wednesday so no issues with sleeping. Staff were super helpful. Easy to rent a scooter at the accomodation to get to all the main sights.

The place was very clean and tidy, tranquil, and no noise at night which is rare in Nicaragua because there's always someone making some noise. The food was quality, homemade vegan goodness. Making a fire was cool and it has all the modern amenities like a fridge and cooking equipment so you can bring beer. Didn't have any bugs unlike some of the other hostels i stayed in on Ometepe. It's quite a good location equidistance between the two towns and near the start of Volcan Concepción. I recommend renting an ATV rather than a scooter at the port and picking it up in Ometepe, don't trust the people on the San Jorge side. The hostel also offers scooter rental although I picked mine up at port. Very photogenic hostel and peaceful.

It’s a bit aside from the port city Moyogalpa, so it’s very calm and almost no cars and people here, but still easy to reach by foot from the Centre (15 min walk). It has breakfast included and it’s home cooked food by the family. My room was very spacious, with 1 double and 1 single bed. They had outlets outside and inside, so i could work online here. Ask for both WiFi passwords! The host family was very nice and always tried to help, like when I needed a dentist they found a number. They don’t speak English (as most locals here) but with my broken Spanish and google translate we always understood each other. You can also ask them about the laundry option. Thanks for hosting me!

Learned this was one of the original hostels on Ometepe. Breakfasts and dinners were freshly prepared with local ingredients. Their dogs and cats were very nice to spend time with. The hosts can lease scooters and deliver them for competitive prices. Communication with host prior to and during stay was excellent.

El Pital, Chocolate Paradise tem jardim, área de praia privativa, terraço e restaurante em Balgue. A acomodação oferece bar e serviços de massagem. I got here by accident, after being traumatised by seeing a scorpion in the bed of another place I was about to check in prior. Super happy I got to this place, it deserves 10 ++! The dorm for 25 dollars was an absolute amazing experience, you could hear the waves, it felt like you were on a cruiseship! Dorm is spacious and very comfortable.the bunk beds were designed in a very practical way that gives you a lot of comfort.you have dedicated space and locker in the bed itself for extra stuff to put in there. The room is big, airy, high ceilings, lots of natural light. The building is made of concrete walls and windows, which prevents scorpions from coming in like the wooden houses would. Not sure if the shower had hot water or I didn't know how to turn it on. There are events every night. People at the restaurant and reception very friendly and polite.I wish they had more Nicaraguan food and less international mixes, but you can always go find places to eat outside. At night it is pitch dark on the road, so make sure you are accompanied/have a flash on you.
