The owners Daniela & Tony went above and beyond for their guests to make sure we were all comfortable and had everything for our stay. Beds in the dorm were comfortable, bathroom was clean, everyone had a fan, drinking water provided, hammocks, a delicious affordable breakfast was also an option which I highly recommend! The location was close to the ferry port, it was very easy to explore other parts of the island by renting a scooter.

Great location in Balgue town, super nice common areas and it's always clean. Apart from that, both the owner and the staff are very welcoming! Finally, they provide some taate and fresh food for a reasonable price. Totally recommended!!!

Staff was so kind, room was clean and comfortable with a fan for each bed, location was perfect for getting on the ferry the next day and they are able to help set up rides/excursions. Excellent value for the price, would definitely stay again!

Such a special place! The permaculture and mushroom tours taught me so much. It’s more than a hostel—it’s a whole experience. Great food, peaceful yoga, and beautiful jungle all around.

Set in Santa Cruz, Raindance Hostel offers beachfront accommodation 1.7 km from Santo Domingo Beach and offers various facilities, such as an outdoor swimming pool, a garden and a bar. The pool was a real staple, always clean and a perfect temperature. The cages to sleep in were great to keep the mosquitos out.

Located in Moyogalpa, Sophie House offers 3-star accommodation with a garden, a shared lounge and a terrace. The hostel also provides free WiFi and free private parking. It’s a bit aside from the port city Moyogalpa, so it’s very calm and almost no cars and people here, but still easy to reach by foot from the Centre (15 min walk). It has breakfast included and it’s home cooked food by the family. My room was very spacious, with 1 double and 1 single bed. They had outlets outside and inside, so i could work online here. Ask for both WiFi passwords! The host family was very nice and always tried to help, like when I needed a dentist they found a number. They don’t speak English (as most locals here) but with my broken Spanish and google translate we always understood each other. You can also ask them about the laundry option. Thanks for hosting me!
