Wow, this hostel is just something special! We are so happy we stayed here. It is beautifully located, surrounded by nature and with breathtaking views. The open, well equipped and clean kitchen is a place to meet other travelers and is the perfect spot to hang out between surf sessions. The rooms and bathrooms are super pretty and clean! The skate bowl and yoga deck were for sure another big highlight! The greatest thing were the people running the place. They even take care of you before you get there! They send you all info beforehand and they organize social events, day trips to other beaches, pizza night and they are always there to answer your questions. We think it is outstanding for this price! All guests matched that vibe and therefore has the best time ever! We will for sure come back to this magical place! The little hill up is also no problem because you can rent boards directly down at the beach ;) Thanks for this amazing time!

La Urraca Loca Hostel tiene un jardín, terraza, un restaurante y bar en Balgue. We had an amazing stay at La Urraca Loca. The location on the island is perfect for most activities. The hostel is an oasis of beautiful plants and the rooms are great. Also Daniel is very helpful and attentive. I’ve recommended this hostel to everyone who visits Ometepe since it is probably my favorite on in my two months in Central-America. Also shoutout to the lovely kitten Gnocchi (such a good name.. ;))

Muy recomendable 10/10. Tanto Marcela como Pablo son excelentes anfitriones, te brinda su ayuda para lo que necesites. En cuanto al alojamiento nos sorprendió en positivo, de hecho ampliamos nuestra estancia gracias a la amplitud y comodidad de las habitaciones, las camas son realmente grandes y cómodas, el lugar esta limpio y es muy acogedor. Se palpa ambiente comunitario, respetuoso y agradable. Tienen opción asequible de lavandería. La cocina esta totalmente equipada. El desayuno esta muy rico y lo incluye el precio, así mismo incluye servicio de shuttle gratis al pueblo. También destacar la ubicación y las vistas paradisiacas. Una de las mejores estancias que hemos tenido en nuestro viaje por Centro América de momento.

The location is great and the rooms are big enough with private bathroom, the breakfast was amazing as well.
