Everything, my room was fantastic, had everything I needed, was nice and quiet, felt like I was the only one in the building at points but I wasn't, the kitchen had some complimentary things for people but my room had everything I needed so I only ventured out for the bathroom and laundry

Don't be fooled by the aging building, when you book at Green Hostel it's like Nick and Kamila are welcoming you into their home. From the little afternoon treats (Polish Gingerbread and fresh cherries), stories from their travels, and helping Nick with projects, it felt like you are part of the family! Met some other really lovely travelers and shared some stories over a hot drink - this is how travel should be. It's old but comfortable and a great place to base yourself to explore the local area.

Located on the lakefront in the centre of Queenstown, Absoloot Hostel Queenstown offers rooms with private bathrooms. Guests enjoy free unlimited Wi-Fi access in their rooms. Clean, modern, comfortable. Unbeatable location on the waterfront. Super helpful staff. Very well equipped kitchen, and eating at an open window looking over the lake was my own four star restaurant. While guests averaged much younger than myself, the atmosphere was welcoming and never too noisy at night. Great place to start my month in New Zealand and already booked a return.

Set in Wanaka, 2.3 km from Puzzling World, Adventure Wanaka Hostel offers air-conditioned rooms and a garden. Offering barbecue facilities, the property is located within 1.9 km of The Wanaka Tree. Great hostel, comfortable beds, maybe rooms are a bit smaller but they get job done, also the mattress are very comfortable. The best part definitely is the kitchen, very specious and clean, many pots and pans to cook your food, also there is three different fridges to keep your food. The common areas are nice and comfy, and the best part very friendly staff. I really enjoyed in Wanaka.

Well situated in the Dunedin City Centre district of Dunedin, UpTown Backpackers is set 700 metres from Toitu Otago Settlers Museum, 1.1 km from Otago Museum and 2 km from Forsyth Barr Stadium. The owner and the staff are amazing! Planned on two nights but stayed for over a week. Upgrading the place with some good renovations!
