Good value of money, great location (close to the metro) and the city center is only 30 min by walk on the promenade. Everybody is helpful and the property is calm, I had a good sleep after my long flight.

The owners were very helpful and gave a lot of information before arrival so I could use the metro from the airport to reach here. Good kitchen with lots of equipment, big air conditioned rooms. Even let me keep my bags here for a few days while I visited other places and returned back. The area around here is really safe and would be my go-to place while visiting or transiting Panama city for sure! Highly recommended.

Located in the Marbella district in Panama City, 3 km from Canal Museum of Panama, El Machico Hostel boasts a swimming pool and free WiFi throughout the property. Everything! I'm not sure why this place is receiving such luke warm reviews. It's a really nice hostel, the staff is really helpful, it's super clean, the rooms are very quiet and comfortable , the bathrooms are really nice, big and plenty, huge well stocked kitchen, and the fastest laundry service I've seen in a while. The pool is really nice and in general it has a really nice chill laid-back vibe and is in a super nice neighbourhood. It's actually a lot nicer looking than the pictures. I slept like a baby over here. Possibly the most undisturbed sleep that I've had in a full dorm room in 4 months of travelling. That itself makes this a full 10 for me. I also lucked out with having only super nice and sociable guests there during my stay. Also, best hostel coffee to boot. I honestly would've extended for a couple of days if I didn't have a flight pre booked.
