He gives fantastic recommendations for hikes and tours, ensuring you make the most of your time in the mountains. If you need camping gear, Erik offers rentals at a super affordable price. Beyond that, he is always up for deep conversations about culture, politics, history, and his own experiences, making the stay even more enriching. And let’s not forget the breakfast—absolutely delicious! For just €4 per night, this place is truly unbeatable. I highly recommend staying here; it was an amazing experience!

Carla, the hostel host, was amazing! She could always point us in the right direction when we had questions and was full of good advice for things to do in Huaraz and the surrounding areas. She even stayed up past midnight to let us in the first night when our bus was delayed 3 hours.

Extremely kind personnel, they always greet you with a smile! Laundry service was cheap and fast. Breakfast varied each day, it was a bit small but always really tasty. The hostel was well located. We were also allowed to use the kitchen and fridge. The beds were good and the shower always got hot, which was really nice after the hikes that often ended with rain. The hostel even provided breakfast on our first day when they let us check-in at 8 in the morning, after arriving by night bus!

Also their mountain tours are ridiculously good value - 800 soles for 2 days for vallanaraju!!! Family run hostel - support them because they deserve it!

Andes Hostel ligger i Huaraz i Ancash og har en fellesstue. Her bor du 7 minutters gange fra Rosas Pampa stadion. I really felt at home in this place. I stayed for a long time and really enjoyed. The owners are friendly and helpful, and have they're own agency with good quality and prices, which makes it really easy to make plans. The kitchen serves as a really nice shared space, where I met the other guests every morning and evening, and made many friends. It's located near the center but on a quiet street, and great value for money :) Thank you for everything!
