The warmest welcome I have ever had, a very friendly calm space. Visited in December, the cosy fire in the living room was a delight. Free washing machine with detergent. Clean kitchen/fridge, lots of utensils/pots and pans etc. Also condiments left from other guests. This little haven will exceed any expectation you may have!

Boasting an outdoor swimming pool, garden, shared lounge and free WiFi, Slowly-Com Vagar is situated in Mourão, 15 km from Monsaraz Castle and 38 km from Alqueva Dam. Slowly Com Vagar is beautiful. The balance between the old building architecture and modern clean lines was exemplar and the art in every comer was exceptional. The best part though was Cristina, the heart of the house. She made us feel at home and every morning prepared an incredible breakfast for our family. We all loved her and still talk about her. :)

MUTE Hostel Milfontes in Vila Nova de Milfontes provides adults-only accommodation with a garden, a terrace and a restaurant. 10 points for a functional double room with a comfy bed. Room was ideal for a single night stay. Breakfast at the hotel was exceptional. Freshly baked bread, scrambled eggs was more than enough to fuelled up for the 4hour hike ahead. Great value hostel
