The facilities were overall pretty clean and they have a spacious outdoor area, great for dinner or hanging out. Breakfast was great too with freshly made pancakes

Engenho Hostel is located on the beachfront in Lajes do Pico. The hostel features family rooms. Very nice location, one of the best in Pico, in my opinion. Restaurants, shops, supermarkets. Plenty of parking spaces and a nice view over the ocean :) The house is very clean and equipped with the basics one might need. The communication was very good, at all times there was a phone number available. And the bonus: books! Books everywhere!! Loved this place so much!

This Azorean guest house is a 15-minute walk from the sea and features comfortable accommodation overlooking Faial and the Pico Mountain, the highest point in Portugal. Excellent breakfast, many options. Also loved the location and that there was a pool which my grandson used almost everyday. The apartment was clean and towels were changed everyday. Any issues were quickly dealt with.
