I have stayed in many hostels but this is the first time that a hostel actually felt homey. Everything is absolutely clean and comfortable. The location is perfect!!! Also, the host was super accommodating! Very nice guy. I wish I could stay longer!!!

A recently renovated guesthouse in the perfect location. The room was very comfortable and the kitchen is well appointed and very useful to have available. The owner is such a lovely and very helpful man. I stayed for two nights and thoroughly enjoyed my time there. I highly recommend the guesthouse and would definitely stay there again. It's super cozy, like a family house. The bedrooms are very spacious and the sheets are super comfy. The shower is awesome!

Pousada de Juventude da Serra da Estrela is inserted in the scenic area of Serra da Estrela Natural Park. The unit is just 10 km from the nearest ski resort. Fantastic location and rooms. Warm even though there was snow outside. Wonderful that we could bring our dog.
