Good value for money. Very well equipped kitchen with everything you need. A nice yard with many fruit plants and toys to have fun with. We were free to pick some berries and apples. A little bit drive about one and half hour to almost all popular sites on the west coast, but considering the price and difficulties finding accommodations on west coast during peak season, it is surely a good choice. We travel as a family of 4 adults and 1 kid. The rooms are very well prepared with 4 single beds and surprisingly an extra folding bed which isn't shown on the room pictures. So none of us need to share a bed. Beds are very comfortable for a good sleep. Definitely come back again.

The Accommodation ist great, it´s a manor house which has been renovated with care and love, the rooms are very nice indeed, bathrooms clean and well equipped. The kitchen is big with enough stoves and sinks, even enough fridges for everyone, and Anja is extremely nice and kind and helpful ! For anyone reading this: it is not a hotel, it is a hostel - for all who love hostels it´s just great !! We really hope to come back again. Barbara

Location was BEAUTIFUL! Not far from the lake and the Gota Canal. Breakfast had a wide choice of fresh food. Great quality and quantity. Staff is VERY friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this hostel.

It’s a really cosy and quiet place to stay in Carlstad. The lady at the reception is the kindest person I've met in Sweden. The breakfast that she prepared was quite filling as well. The place has a big kitchen and lots of utensils at your disposal. The rooms and lavatories were extremely clean. You can use the public transport or you can just walk to reach the hostel. I personally walked and it’s a walkable distance from the city center. Make sure to bring your own sheets or you can just rent them at the reception. Overall 10/10
