Well located in the West District district of Taichung, Star Hostel Taichung Parklane is located on the top floors of Green Park Lane Shopping Centre. It is 700 metres from Kuangsan SOGO Dept. Super clean, included breakfast was great, came with free access to the gym in the same building.

Set in the heart of Donghai shopping area in Taichung, 1.5 km away from Luce Chapel, 框框背包客棧 Kuang Kuang Hostel boasts fittings and decorations in a student dormitory style. One of the best hostels I’ve stayed in in Taiwan or anywhere else. Rooms and facilities were very clean and comfortable, building had character and charm. Location was convenient as we had to attend an event at the university nearby, and the staff were extremely helpful. Double room was also very affordable for the quality.

Great location, close to buses and laundry machines across the road. Staff were really friendly and after the earthquake, were fine with me staying in the same room and booking another night.

Set in the Central District of Taichung, Loosha Hostel is only 900 metres away from Taichung Train Station. We stayed for 3 days and we had a comfortable stay. The hostel is close to the Taichung Station and to the Taroko Mall which is convenient. Serves also good breakfast. The staff are accomodating and can speak english.

Stray Birds Taichung Hostel is set in Taichung. Popular points of interest nearby include Kuangsan SOGO Dept. Store and National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts. We arrived earlier than the check in time. We were advised to store our luggage there and come back to check in later. The staffs are friendly, ready to help and gave us good advice. 谢谢你们！ The room is spacious dan clean. Slippers are prepared so everyone help to take care of the cleanliness of the bedroom. The beds (double deck) are not too soft and very comfy for us who had a long journey. The bathrooms are sparkling clean. Hair dryer is available. Hot shower is something really great after a day of sightseeing in the city on foot. Breakfast is included. Though quite simple, taste good and very filling. The common area is very comfortable. We enjoyed our quiet and non-disturbed hours there. Hot beverage is available always. The location of the hostel is very strategic. Bus stops are in walking distance, found in all directions. Lots of eateries and shops around, old and new. Convenient shops such as 7-11, family mart and Watsons are just nearby. We even found the post office just next to the hostel. There is a night market nearby of which the stalls are run by various local artists (本地艺术家) displaying their own products. Good experience to explore and enjoyed ourselves. Washing machine and dryer are provided with the minimum charge. Very convenient for travellers.

Featuring free WiFi throughout the property, Mini West Hotel offers accommodation in Taichung. It was good and comfortable, tho i living in a mixed dorm however it turn out comfy and would come next time

Backpacker 41 Hostel is a quaint setting located in Taichung. Free WiFi is covered in public area and free parking space is offered. Each room here will provide you with air conditioning. The staff is great, especially the one girl at the service desk with the glasses. She went out of her way to make my experience beyond amazing.
