Location was perfect for me, as I was visiting a friend who lives in Archcare health facility. It was less than a mile to reach his nursing home and an easy walk with convenience stores and restaurants along the way. Neighborhood is a little rougher than some other parts of Manhattan, but I never felt unsafe. Hostel was impeccably clean and the housekeeping staff were excellent. One even helped me get my suitcase down the stairs on checkout day!

Spacious room (for NYC standards), comfy bed, awesome staff. I didn't need to wait to use wc/bathroom. They were super clean, you can use various products from a dedicated drawer. Plus, you have a sink in your room, so it makes things go even smoother. Breakfast was splendid. I'm not used to eating donuts in the morning, lol, but I appreciated A LOT OF yummy fresh berries. I stayed only for one night and moved to another location - I regreted that plan! I'll be definitely booking this one for the whole trip when I come back to NYC

While the room is small, as stated in the listing, it provides everything you need: clean towels, bedding, and both a room and a shared bathroom. The bathroom is cleaned several times a day. The bathroom was stocked with shampoo, shower gel, and hand soap. I encourage everyone to read the details provided when booking. Don't blame the hotel if you expected a larger room with amenities like a TV, balcony, microwave, fridge, etc. What is stated on the booking page is what you will receive. Another plus is friendly staff who work at the reception.
