Located in Montevideo, MedioMundo Hostel offers comfortable rooms with free WiFi access. The property is 50 metres from Rodo Square and 300 metres from the coast. Hostel was flexible and allowed us to store bags even after our stay to work with our travel plans. Hostel hosts were very nice, and allowed us to try their Mate!

Breakfast was great. You had eggs you could make however you wanted with full use of the kitchen. Annette also make home made bread and pastries. She also had a spread of cheeses and meats. And some cereals and crackers. Tea, coffee etc. everything was also available after breakfast hours for you to eat throughout the day. Montevideo is very walkable so we walked everywhere, the location was great. Also very close to the bus if you were going a further distance. The female dorms were clean and spacious. It had space to hang clothes to air dry. They had sizable lockers for your important items and small luggage. Annette is also always present and available if you need anything. She also tried to let us know if any activities happening in town. And the bathrooms were clean. I wonder if the hostel was a little more full if the fact that there was only 1 female shower and toilet on our floor if that would have been more of a problem, but it wasn’t very full when we stayed so it was not a problem.

Just like its name, the place carries a relaxed, artistic, and effortlessly cool vibe. The atmosphere invites you to simply sit back, breathe, and enjoy. The staff were kind and welcoming, the space felt cozy yet vibrant, and the stars at night were absolutely breathtaking — the kind of view that makes you slow down and smile. Even in such a short stay, I left feeling recharged and at peace. Bohemian is definitely a hidden gem — a perfect spot for anyone looking for comfort, simplicity, and good energy.

Great staff and accomodations. Spent just one day there but everyone was nice and welcoming! If I happen to visit Montevideo again I'll for sure repeat my stay at youki haus.

Located in Montevideo, within 800 metres of Independencia Square and 700 metres of Solis Theatre, Montevideo Chic Hostel offers barbecue facilities. Lovely place, friendly and easy-going. The house is full of character and the roof looking over the docks is great. Ciudad Vieja is a good and interesting place to stay (tho it can feel a bit sketchy at night) - so if you're not bothered about shared bathrooms, overall this place is a treat.
